Well since we are all HERE now. We might as well share our favorite GONG stories. I personally got the Gong one time. It actually was a lifetime ban GONG for maybe the dumbest thing that you could be GONGED for.

Back in sheesh, 2003 I think, I had another ID (That ID will remain nameless, Im sure that there are spies umong us...Charlie is in the trees mannnn) I was in the football forum and was in a heated discussion about my cow town football team vs an upper scale town on the east side of Columbus. (You know, the one with the white fences)

I simply said how hard our kids were working throwing hay and slopping hogs while their kids were sitting in their high rises and just generally being rich.

I went to log on later that day and BAM...I was gone. So I emailed a MOD (Who also happened to be the namesake) He told me that got me a lifetime ban from the site, but I COULD pay 10 dollars and get a new nickname. Which I did, and Go4alOngbOmB was born. Now that I paid my 10 dollar (lifetime) fee they want me to pay again? (I guess I and most of the huddle nation who "died" after the lifetime fee got a new lease on life...only 12 bucks....IMO...Ill spend that 12 dollars on 5 gallons of gas (if Im lucky) and go watch a football game)

I didn't get the gong til I went on rampages the last few days. Well worth it.

I never got the "gong" but I got banned once (two months maybe?) because I quoted another huddler that used a perjorative and offensive term...to jjhuddle's credit, I think they banned the guy that used the term initially, but it was such a poor judgment move by the management there that I lost a lot of respect for the top people.

I never received a ban/gong. I was on from the beginning and never, ever paid. But apparently I did something wrong in the past day or 2 and thus when I went to check out the bleacher seats. I was banned.

I got banned for saying pussy on a Word Association thread.... someone had put Michigan above me.

Then I got suspended cuz i posted a funny pic and the girl's shirt in the pic said Fuck or something to that effect

yeah, that pic thread was pretty epic. there was one on here but I have no clue where it went

Those are just a few treads that got me gonged

I got gonged for posting a pic of Nick Mangold's sister. People commented on her, so I posted her picture. I did not actually say anything disrespectful about her, just simply posted a picture of her in football uniform. It was the same picture printed in the Dayton newspaper sports page.

At first it was a temporary, until I told JJ "shame on you" for banning me. The fuhrer didn't like that.

I got banned for 3 months for saying Mark "Dirty" Sanchez

I got 3 months for saying someone should bang 1000 fat chicks for 50 bucks apiece in a thread where somoene was looking for a quick way to make money.
It said I was banned for "ignorant posts". That is false, because I knew exactly what I was posting, therefore I wasn't ignorant about it

My first permanent one included calling Natali and JJ pathetic via email when I started a thread during the 2007 football finals saying how STO was showing up ONN with their coverage, and it went missing after 30 seconds. Te response e-mail was "You have been banned", the end.

The other permanent one was in the past few nights, you can guess why/how.

As Overdrive, I got banned for making a post where I committed the horrid act of using the term "F-ing". A couple days later, I noticed I couldn't log in. I emailed JJ as to what was the problem. He cut-n-pasted that post with a very pleasant "This crap is not tolerated" message. I emailed him back asking how long I was suspended (as I had like over 6000 posts and basically never got into mod-trouble) and got another asshole-ish reply (along the lines of "This ban is permanent. I'm through talking to you about this.").

So I emailed him back with the ever-so-sincere offer that if he reinstate me, I'd spend all my days going through every single thread and notifying him everytime anyone committed anything I figured he'd think was an infraction until I'd gotten everyone and we were the only two people left on the site. For some reason, he never got back with me on that offer.

Yea, I never really dug how you always got sarcasm in responce to any question you had about something.

The whole no tolerance for most was rather annoying. Im not a bad dude...but when you cross me the wrong way, I do NOT forget it, and I will no longer be Mr Nice Guy to you.

I had my account DELETED during one of the bananaguy's posting sprees for posting "in b4 ban" on one of his threads. I wasn't the only one who did this. I think Elefante (Sleeper?) was also banned for saying the same thing.

I got banned back in 2002 for outing EX_DC_ATC, after he changed his name from his actual first initial and last name. At this time his name was on his profile as well. We were having some banter back and forth, and I said I see you changed your name, and next thing i know i was banned, and I aksed why. They said outing someone, and when I argued that his name was on his profile, boom account gone. That was when I had to pay my $10 and get a new name. Me and Ex, have gotten along pretty good since that little argument, but I think it was JJ then could not let the opportunity of making $10 pass him by.

Yeah, their customer service has always been along these lines.

Once while posting on southeasternohiopreps.com I gave the huddle the nickname moneynuts.com(That one got me a lifetime ban)
Once for changing my E-Mail address and not letting the huddle know about it.

Got gonged for calling out a high school girls basketball coach that was doing some pretty awful things to the players.....who left that post, took another girls position, then left that one too. He was a scum, but his daddy was a legend in Ohio High School coaching. Bucknuts could tell I knew what was going on behind closed doors, as I would say just enough in my post, but wouldn't reveal everything. JJ gonged me, and said Bucknuts had received a request from the coach to shut me down.

The other was for calling a big red fan a dago......they don't like that.

Never banned or gonged.....I am just way too damn likeable.
