Barley Hopsters. Their selection varies, but usually really good.

I love that show. Dude is living the dream. Obviously worked his ass off, but what a life.

I would put Luigi's in downtown Akron slightly above both however.
I do like Luigi's, but it's not my fave.

Outside of deep dish, my favorite pizza places are Coalfire (just tried this place, it’s incredible), Homeslice, and Renaldis.
Uno's on Ohio/Michigan streets in downtown Chicago is dang good for Chicago style deep dish.

Yeah that’s a few blocks from where I live. Unos is alright. If I’m going popular Chicago places they’d be third behind Lou malnatis and giordanos.

I’m not a big Chicago Style guy either, but didn’t think Gino’s East was too bad.

I heard Giordanos was good, will have to try it next time I am in Chicago, as well as Pequods.

I mostly like Giordanos for their other stuff. Their italian sandwich is great and pasta is made fresh in-store. I live across from a Giordanos so I get takeout pretty often. Their pizza is meh.

All Chicago pizza places make good "regular" pizza, which is what I get. I have no interest in ever eating deep dish/lasagna again...

Harrumph. If I have to eat it with a knife and fork, it's not pizza. I prefer thin or at most a hand tossed thickness in my situations anyway.

Pretty much how Mrs. Zunardo and I rated it - a big piece of dough with a lot of sauce and some cheese (and we ordered pepperoni). A short step up from Mello Mushroom, but nothing in the flavor that would make us want to order it again. On the plus side, we got two more meals on just the leftovers.

I'll have to give the pasta a try. I did order a sandwich there, it was pretty good, but not worth going there just for that. Living across the street from it does make it more convenient, I guess. :)

On the advice of a friend, I tried deep-dish pizza at The Street Scene on the OSU campus - THAT was a pizza. Flavorful, lots of zing - but that was in 1976, and I'm not sure when it closed. It would never fly today, with all of the bland corporate offerings being foisted upon us.

Speaking of OSU campus pizza. I saw that Adriatico's is being torn down and people are outraged. I always thought it was just a decent pizza spot, nothing more, nothing less.

Maybe for pizza. But I’ll take everything else on the menu at lous and giordanos over Geno’s.

I love the Adriatico's near the UC campus, we get it delivered every once in a while when we're at our favorite taproom in the city (Growler House).

Chicago pizza is great, NY-style pizza is great.

S&L, have you tried Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Co? Not sure if I've asked that before. Their pizza is basically a pot-pie.

For me probably Big Ed's Pizzeria in Huntsville, AL. There aren't many non chain places here which sucks.
