Sooo let's say this all happens...

Bama/Georgia win out...Georgia wins SEC

Clemson wins out, wins ACC

Oklahoma wins out, wins B12

OSU wins out, wins B1G

ND wins out, wins nothing

Who's in?

what will be interesting is if ND wins out and sits idle during conference championship week. Do they get leaped by someone with that extra game under their belt?
That's what I was getting at. Yes, their resume will be nice. But they won't have the extra game/championship. And I know OSU got in over PSU without the championship, but PSU had 2 losses.

In that scenario I think Clemson and Alabama gets left out or possibly Oklahoma

No way ND gets left out if they win out. Not with the schedule they played and the teams they beat.

I'm terrified that both Georgia and Alabama will make the final four. Alabama has had a weak ass schedule, currently LSU at 19, Mississippi State at 21 and Auburn at 16 are the only ranked teams they have all season. I'm not saying they aren't a title caliber team, but they haven't even played a quality opponent yet and I don't have confidence that LSU and MSU will finish the season ranked.

The SEC has fallen way back to the middle of the pack and if the CFP committee keeps kissing their ass I'll be pissed

oklahoma will lose a game that they shouldn't down the stretch. in the past three games they've given up roughly 500 ypg.

that isn't sustainable.

I️ think Oklahoma will slip up eventually. Maybe the conference championship.

Don't they still have to play TCU?

I️ think it’s pretty clearly

1. Bama
2. OK
3. Clemson (Auburn win might keep above OK)
4. Miami

5. Wisconsin
6. Auburn

—————

Guessing:

7. Georgia
8. ND
9. USC
10. OSU

But def could argue OSU at #7 after Georgia and ND getting blasted and ND blasting USC...but I️ think Georgia almost a lock at #7, hoping OSU #8

1. Alabama
2. Miami
3. Oklahoma
4. Clemson

5. Wisconsin
6. Auburn
7. Georgia
8. Ohio State
9. Notre Dame
10. USC

Yeah...based on where they were and what happened I️ can’t see them going Miami over OK or even Clemson. Miami will end #2 if they run it and beat Clemson. I️ think Clemson’s defense beat Miami though

So OSU would want this, I think.

SEC - Bama beats Auburn, then beats Georgia. Auburn is out with 3 losses, Georgia would have two losses and no conference title. Probably not gonna be favored over a 2-loss conference champ.

Big 12 - Oklahoma wins out and takes the conference, makes the playoff. Everyone else would have 2 or more losses and no conference title.

ACC - Probably want Miami to win out, leaving Clemson with two losses. ACC could potentially get two in if Miami doesn't win the conference, but only has one loss.

PAC 12 - Probably done, but I suppose a 2 loss conference champ could be in over OSU

ND - Might be out after getting thumped tonight, but they do have a good resume. Let's have Stanford beat them to make sure. lol

Big Ten - OSU wants Wisconsin to win out until the Big Ten Championship. OSU finishes 11-2 and then they have an outside shot.

I️ think there are 8 teams left with a hopeful prayer of top 4....I️ think 7 control their own destiny and the 8th is OSU

So, I know that Ohio State has a horrible loss and also didn't play well against Oklahoma. But I'm kinda confused as to why USC was ranked above OSU and MSU last week in the CFP rankings. They got smoked by ND and lost to Washington State. They had no wins over ranked teams (Stanford probably will be this week). Was their resume better than OSU, MSU, or PSU going into last week? ND getting hammered last night has to make USC look even worse. Does OSU jump them this week? If the only two loss team ahead of Ohio State this week is Auburn, I like the position that the Buckeyes are in at that point.

They should. But they probably won't.

If this plays out which has a pretty good chance I think Ohio state gets in. Especially if they throttle Wisconsin..

How can 7 teams control their own destiny in a 4-team playoff?
