He was QQing about his shitty pitch, trying to blame Crow.

stop your fucking whining, for crissakes--maybe Kizer isn't the answer, but Hogan sure as hell isn't either...and IMO, DK has a bigger upside

the only one QQing is you...Kizer may not be the answer, but Hogan sure as hell isn't either. IMO, DK has the bigger upside, so let him sink or swim.

Lol while yes you're right, this was a bad pitch and on Kizer, this was you in the Bengals game when the ball was snapped over Kizers head.

I know you like Kizer, so you're overly protective about him. Also, you're usually a good poster, so I'mma give you a pass here. So I'll just say, vball, I'm not whinning, like at all. I'm saying Hogan gives us a better chance to win today. Nothing Kizer has done except throw on a rope leads me to believe he can be the guy. I would like him to be, and I understand it takes time. However, he's so vastly over matched out there, and it's obvious. We can't play him right now. I can legit see the steam coming out of his ears as he's trying to decide where to throw the ball. It's painful to watch and is KILLING our chances of winning football games. Hogan is maybe 100x better than him today.

You say Hogan isn't the answer, ok. May be the case. Not sure what you see from Kizer that makes you think he IS the guy. Throwing him out there now is stupid.

I'm in a quandary. I also want to see "watchable" football, but I don't want that to screw up the draft. I lean toward sticking with Kizer.

Go Browns.

You make valid points, like Hogan giving us a better chance at (maybe) winning a game or two. My point is--does it really matter at this stage? I'd like to have a QB for more than a year, and benching a guy every game isn't helping moving forward. If Kizer is their guy, and he fails, then we need to draft another QB. If he isn't in their plans, then cut bait now. However, let's give the guy a full season without looking over his shoulder after every series and see if he has long term promise. And, if the FO believes Hogan is the answer, then give him the same courtesy.

I think playing Kizer slows down the development of other players too. Hogan making better reads and being more accurate helps the young TE and receivers to develop. They have looked much better with Hogan vs. Kizer so far.

Here's my issue with starting Hogan.... it's one thing for a backup to come in for a few drives and do something. It's completely different when the defense gameplans you and is ready for you. When you have a qb like Hogan who is only going to throw a bunch of button hooks and screens and and slants, the defense is going to have a lot easier of a time and youre not going to have success. Hogan can't throw an out route. CANT. he won't have success with go routes or post route because he doesn't have the arm to get it there without floating it there. It'll be the same shit we've had to suffer thru since our return. How much have we cried about dink and dunk offenses, and now were begging for it. It didn't work then. It isn't working now. The only thing it will accomplish is finally shut everyone up calling for Hogan.

Proof that Hogan can't hit an outroute?

Looks decent to me:

That's a corner. Do we need to have school on our routes lol.

And FYI...I know you're an advanced metrics guy.. do you think they'd rule that an accurate throw or not?

Corners will be easier for Hogan since you need some touch on it. Outs can't have air under it or they get taken for pick 6's. Hogan doesn't have an arm for a 20-30 yard out. He just doesn't. Quick outs... probably. I think he can get a 5-10 yard out.

The clip I showed of kizer throwing that S&l wasn't impressed with is a 30 yard out. Hogan can't make that throw.

I'll agree. He's had waaaaay too many terrible throws compared to his wow throws.

I'm torn on that interview with Gordon. You want to root for the guy to turn things around but I still get the deflecting/blame everyone else tone from that interview. At the end he takes some accountability but he comes across more like "I'm doing this because I'm broke and I need to get paid" more than "I've learned my lesson and want to change my life." At least to me, that's how it sounds.

Being broke and hitting rock bottom can force people to make changes in their lives.

He’s a dumbass, but I still think he got a raw deal from Goodell and the NFL considering the shit we see players get suspended for. He has pretty much killed Gordon’s career for smoking a plant that is legal in some NFL cities and taking a sip of beer.

If you listened to that interview, Gordon was doing a helluva lot more than just smoking weed. He mentions coke, purple drank, etc.

Yeah he definitely has a serious addiction problem. Hopefully he can turn it around

Hue hasn’t done a single thing to indicate to me that he isn’t a terrible head coach, but I don’t fault this move. You can’t play an unplayable player. This is professional football, improve or sit your ass on the bench.

Still need to listen to it, but his punishment wasn't for the aforementioned.

I thought one of them was for testing positive for codeine (purple drank)? Thought he used the excuse he was sick or something?
