I understand you are hurt by the fact that the majority of Americans are not at all thrilled by these players. I will not rub it in any further.

Lol, above is what I said about the players. All you are doing is serving as proof I was right, L'il Triggered Kid.

Because it gives Leader Gooddell the opportunity to punish if he deems necessary. See: the example I gave with Buffalo Bills running back. I'm sure there are more that could happen too. I bet reading through any NFL manual would show much ambiguity along with penalty possibilities.

At some point in the debate over the method of protesting, will the players realize that the point of the protest has been completely forgotten?

Since this past Sunday it essentially escalated into a mass expression of assclench over Trump's statements, the magic 8-ball says yes.

The players did the triggering; they started it. And now they, and a few folks like you, are pissed that the majority of America thinks they made a significant mistake.

"Do you think NFL players should stand and be respectful during the national anthem?

Nothing like posing a question to get an answer you want lol.

Nothing like completely ignoring my comment on the actual issue to force in your incorrect point of view to convince a person you're nothing more than an Isadore-level troll. Good job, you goofy leftist!

What do you find leading about the question? Most of those clenched seem to view the kneel itself as disrespectful...hence standing is "respectful" by default.

If the question was "Do you think NFL players should stand and respect Amurica during the national anthem," then you might have some semblance of a point.

THE PULSE OF 'MERICA FOLKS. FOR...THE PEOPLE.

Newsflash: The majority of America doesn't give a flying fuck. Personally, I'm entertaining by the outrage.

I would have just asked "Do you think NFL players should stand during the national anthem"
When you're throwing in keys like respect, its obvious how you want the question answered. And if you're targeting a certain group, your poll is already a sham.

LOL No surprise QO thinks the protests were over the flag and not you know their perceived injustice on police brutality. The whole idea, according to Kap, of sitting/ kneeling is that the country has not lived up to its creed/ mission of liberty for all and as such, until then, they will not stand as they perceive the country has a long way to go. Now, you can argue their methods and actual follow through was bad, but the intent was to never disrespect the flag or servicemen.
It just back fired on them.

My question is if the players just did the one fist in the air instead, just like Mexico City 1968, would people still be freaking out?
If the players held a fist high, instead of kneeling, would it have been as much of an outage?
I'm guessing some on here would still be quite upset.....(looking at you QO)

Not really...the the question immediately following the one you have a problem with:
Q7
:
Last week, Donald Trump said NFL players should stand and be respectful during the national
anthem. Do you think NFL players should
stand and be respectful during the national anthem?
Hence, the way the questioning is done it's not looking for a specific answer, but asking the respondent if they agree with the previous statement.

A simple look at the rest of the crosstabs shows that they weren't targeting any certain group. That's just silly.

I misread your post and thought you implied there was a target group.
The 2nd question, to me, is fine b/c they're referencing a quote. The first is different... There wasn't a need to word it that way. You're adding in an emotional element.

To an extent, I suppose...albeit not to any significant degree.

Some will cry about the act of the protest, but I think the discussion would be a debate on whether people believe they are actually oppressed or not in the year 2017.
