Bury him on the depth chart until he shows he can handle himself like a man. I love how Tomlin is going about this.

Ravens are never out of it. Dolphins are very good but of course are 4-2

No way you can be ok with not ejecting Alonso. That was was one of the dirtiest hits I have seen.

As soon as Flacco was hit his helmet was forced off and he raised his hand for assistance immediately.wildcats20;1878936 wrote:No way you can be ok with not ejecting Alonso. That was was one of the dirtiest hits I have seen.

A QB giving himself up...that’s as bad as it gets. No gray area.wildcats20;1878939 wrote:Should be 2-3 games minimum.

I think it is too gray an area of what constitutes a legal give up, and where the ball is spotted when it is legal. The quarterback shouldn't be allowed to be going full speed into a high risk Rea with a lot to gain with each foot of ground he gets, like a 1st down, and just drop down, and not expect to be hit. I think on that play, as late as Flacco went down he should not expect to be hit. I agree that the defender could have avoided the punishing hit on the QB. With a properly written rule and official's interpretation, I think that play should have been ruled as penalty on the QB for inappropriate " giving up" , and a penalty on the defense for unnecessary roughness and the net result of the play should not be a first down or an ejection. Furthermore, I think if the defender would have not have hit them the officials probably would have ruled it a first down. Maybe they should spot the ball on "give ups" maybe a yard back from where it would have been, just as a cost of bailing out on playing football the way it was meant to be.Ironman92;1878941 wrote:A QB giving himself up...that’s as bad as it gets. Call me crazy but I don’t know how you slow down a full speed Alonso at a full speed qb going for a first down who then suddenly pulls up and starts sliding. How does Alonso get out of the way? I’m ok with the penalty, but don’t think it was malicious or “dirty”.

Don’t they typically spot it where QB starts the feet first slide? Head first fair game as long as not helmet to helmetmhs95_06;1878947 wrote:I think it is too gray an area of what constitutes a legal give up, and where the ball is spotted when it is legal. Gruden I swear barely criticizes anybody but the refs. Constantly praising mediocre players I feel like lol. Personally prefer the Bernie Kosar approach to commentary - X's & O's analysis beyond the understanding of the casual fan + ruthless bashing of players beyond reason all while rolling on OxyAutomatik;1878475 wrote:He's all fluff.
