The people that traveled hours to watch this are the same ones who do black friday shopping and wait in line when pizza places do their special anniversary sales right

Came through the bay area, we had 87% coverage or so I think. It was the definition of 'meh'.

Quite disappointing. We are supposed to be in the "prime" of it now and it's pretty bright out. I guess I expected darkness, or like twilight. This eclipse is gay.

Co-worker had glasses for everyone. Walked outside...looked up. Uh huh. Back to work. Our office also has had the eclipse coverage on TV the whole day. Total nonsense.

Edit: Eclipse not nonsense. That's very real and sensical. The excitement of the rest of my office makes no sense.

It definitely didn't get as dark as I expected outside pretty much was like dusk. It was still kinda cool though.

Neat. It's slightly darker and a bit cooler at 2pm today. Being in that 17 mile stretch of total darkness would have been a lot more interesting.

Just looked at it for about 10 seconds with proper eclipse glasses. It was cool.

Looked out the office window, threw on the shades, and watched it for a second. Neat.

Totality was pretty cool. It was basically a party down here. No one went to work, everyone out on boats or at bars. Just another excuse to drink.

Yeah....I might have set my expectations a little too high for that.

Question...did you guys even read anything about your area? Unless you were in totality, nothing was going to change much in brightness lol.

I was in 94% in Raleigh, got a dusk feeling and temp dropped about 10-15 degrees. Would've been cool to be in totality.

I guess that I naively thought that 8.5% of the sun remaining would make it a little darker than it was...it's not like I was expecting dusk or anything.

Nah I didn't read much just that its was going to be 97% here in Huntsville. I just expect it to be a little darker than basically dusk. The temp drop did feel nice though.

Here's a couple from here that I saw on twitter. I couldn't get my phone to show the ring around the moon.

It was kind of neat here in Central Ohio. It seemed to get a little darker and the air felt cooler. I also noticed that the shadows of people walking to our store were much shorter than normal. The total eclipse looks pretty badass and I would check it out in 2024 when it hits Ohio
