It was slow, I'll give you that. And maybe didn't progress like other seasons because the final season is actually split....but, I don't agree - I thought the acting, writing and drama were as good as ever. But much more character focused this year, which I usually don't care for and is rarely done well but I thought they did a great job.

A show that hasn't been mentioned: I'd probably rank The Twilight Zone somewhere in my top 5.

To be considered GOAT I would think you need a few ingredients in the recipe:

1. Longevity
2. Memorable characters
3. Cultural movement
4. Real life significance
5. Changed television afterward.

So with those in mind half of these aren't reletive

And my top 5 reasons (admittedly, biased from working in TV) probably include none of those. Lol.

My list includes shows that would widely be included in the top 10-15 from people in the industry.

The Rifleman is my favorite western show. Lucas McCain is a boss.

You almost have to separate the 2 genres for rankings like this.

This show ended before I was born (72). We lived in the country with the old school antenna. I always loved catching reruns of it as a kid. Usually the early am hours on the weekend. Got to love the old black and white. Good stuff for its day.

Dad's antenna was a marvel of country engineering. Steel pipe, pipe clamps, a pipe wrench for turning, and a stake in the ground to hold its direction. Nothing like watching your favorite prime time show and the winter winds kicking up and not wanting to fully suit up for the elements even though your favorite show just turned to pure static. Just need my pair of boots and I can fix this shit before I miss something. DVR.

MASH was the first show I thought of when I saw the thread. Also Cheers.

While probably not one that deserves to be on a Top 10 list, I really enjoyed Sons of Anarchy.
