The only thing I can think of is getting those Brooklyn picks and then swinging them in another deal for a legit star like cousins or Davis near the deadline

This trade might make Cleveland deeper, and better. Problem is, Thomas in the playoffs is virtually impossible to win with. I saw virtually, because LeBron. Crowder is a real nice piece off the bench, good D. And unprotected Brooklyn pick figures to land Bagley or Porter...yes please on that.

But man, it's tough cause Cleveland should get more. Maybe this entices PHX to throw in Jackson or Booker with Bledsoe.

I like crowder and zizic. Isaiah is meh to me but I love the Brooklyn pick. I really think this is the best possible deal we could have gotten. If we keep that nets pick, we are looking at picking probably top 3 in an absolutely loaded draft

I imagine Kyrie told Ainge he'd sign an extension. Or else Boston is taking a huge risk with this deal.

My guess is cavs think the new roster is better than any other east team, and then will send the nets pick after next season for a star player to keep lebron from leaving in FA.

I like his tough around the rim as well. Plus he's only 20 years old. Definitely reminds me a lot of Marc gasol. That Brooklyn pick is great insurance if lebron leaves. If that pick turns into bagly, this trade would be a complete fleece

There was a report I saw earlier that Bron's people believe that D Wade is expected to sign with Cleveland as well.

I love Kyrie, and won't ever forget his clutch-ness. But this trade definitely makes Cavs better short term. Not sure why you guys are so upset. The Brooklyn pick makes it possibly great long term.
