From the time Hamilton took off until the time he touched home was 9.6 seconds. The average player there is a play at the plate and slower players are either risky going or hold at 3rd. Glove be was the wrong way. Turned his head well before the ball arrived and overall just wasn't very good. Not locating the ball was the worst part though. Allowed Hamilton (or anyone) to score.
It was fortunate by the Reds as Brantley was in no man's land...had to go for it but in between steps on when to dive. If not for Hamilton beating out a double play that I'm not sure anyone else beats out....none of this happens.
