With Bauer going tonight (probable loss) and Kluber tomorrow, I'd think it would be reasonable to expect.

Do we all want Yan to hit? Yes. I called him out just a few days ago with my frustration with him. However, there is more to playing catcher than just hitting. He does a good job with the staff, throws out runners and plays good defense. For those reasons (and his contract), he isn't going anywhere. Hopefully he finds it at the plate.

Unfortunately, on the hitting side, that's the case. His defense is invaluable so what you're saying is spot on.

Tito is loyal to a fault with his veterans. Guys like Gomes & Tomlin are going to get very long leashes.

Well, it's not like Perez hasn't earned his feathers. The guy was solid both offensively and defensively down the stretch and in the playoffs.

Man, what am I supposed to watch tonight then. Glad they have at least cemented the split. Maybe Bauer is better at day games...

It was Twitter and what I saw was clearly incorrect.

As for today...the Twins skipped their guy from yesterday and are throwing Santana at us. He's 5-11 lifetime vs the Tribe and his team is 7-14 in games he starts.

Bauer is 1-5 lifetime vs the Twins in 11 career starts (Tribe 3-8 in those games). Career ERA vs them is 5.32 skewed a bit by an 7 earned run outing in 2.2 innings last August.

Tito indicated before the season that he would not be skipping starters early on, I believe due to workload from long postseason run.

I agree with this strategy, Tomlin and Bauer are average to carry them to decent records for their starts.

Just watching the play by play. Bauer balks in a run with the bases loaded and the issues another walk and the bases are still loaded with 1 out and run in.

This could be ugly.

Bauer gets out of the jam with giving up only 2 runs. I know during his starts he gets terrible run support but man is he frustrating to watch.
