My wife's cousin was one of the guys escorting him to the court room. There is another video where the sheriff kinda laughed and said he won't be losing any sleep over it.
Agreed with Quaker, glad he saved the taxpayers a ton of money.

Wow - he took a chance, might have survived that fall. 40 feet, not automatically fatal, but likely very crippling.

If you make sure it's head first, almost guaranteed to be fatal.

I did like the quote from someone close to the family.

"Lucifer can enjoy digesting this one..."

Yeah, I was morbidly curious as to how he landed. Didn't look like he took a header, more like he rolled off horizontally - possibly landing flat with full torso impact, massive internal damage? The article hinted that death wasn't immediate. Hard to say if he remained conscious for a brief time afterward.

...his family actually submitted an obituary to the Youngstown Vindicator....unbelievable! They forgot the whole "rapist, arsonist, murder portion"...allegedly... or that he hit the 1st floor of the court house like a wet sack of cement....but he liked to hunt, fish and play poker.
