Huge hit for Brantley, no idea what the left fielder was doing on that one. Glad Encarnacion didn't have to come up again.

Not too worried. Seven games into the season is about the equivalent of halftime of the first game of an NFL season....no real reason for concern. He could fall off the map but history says he won't. If he's still hitting like crap in late July/early August, then I'll be concerned.vball10set;1847220 wrote:This...however, it's early, so hopefully he'll heat up

I'm not worried about EE either, Gomes on the other hand I'm extremely worried. Not even taking good cuts.

Guys, Gomes hasn't hit since 2014. It's not just 7 games. He hit .167 in 74 games last year and .231 in 95 games in 2015. I know he's been banged up so I was hoping coming back healthy would get him back to the Yan of old but so far, he's lost.

Salazar with the first bad inning of the year. Gets hammered, but a strike out/CS double play ends the inning. Sox still got 2. 2-0 B2

Some offense would be swell.

Damn, Salazar rebounded after 2nd. Fantastic outing with sick stuff. Deserves a win. Let's go offense!!!

His problem is a lack of consistency in controlling that "sick stuff". He's unhitable at times because even he doesn't know where the ball is going.

He was a leading CYA candidate before his injury last year.Con_Alma;1847425 wrote:His problem is a lack of consistency in controlling that "sick stuff". He's unhitable at times because even he doesn't know where the ball is going.
That's a very lazy take.
