It's not. My wife and I helped mentor her when she was a teen (she's 21 now). Her mom pressured her to start thinking about having kids as soon as she hit 13 (Her mom's a piece of shit.), and she did have one at 15 (none since). She was an A-B student, can speak articulately (when she's not playing hood rat), picks up new skills fairly easily, and has some of the better hygiene among the young girls that live near me. 90% of the time, she's what I'd want most younger kids to aspire to.

But every now and then, she does something stupid like this and plasters it all over social media. Annoys the shit out of me.

It's SO fucking common, too. When people talk about poverty being a cycle, this is a big part of it. It becomes a "comfortable cage" so much that young people are discouraged, and even chastised, for expressing a desire to do more with their lives.
