I tip pizza delivery rounded to the nearest $5 usually.

That said, haven't ordered pizza in a loooong time. Have 2 go to places that have delicious pizza. Plus, I try to hit the nicer pizza joints when I travel.

For carryout I'll maybe tip a buck, but only at places I get takeout often. I don't tip when we pickup a pizza.

For delivery I'll tip around $5, give or take a dollar, regardless of delivery fee.

For dine in, I'll usually tip 20%. A little more if it's really good service or the bill is cheap. A little less if the service is lacking.

I've never got a shoe shine so I'm no help there.

I tip my barber $5 on a $15 cut.

All of these, except I don't tip for carry out.

All of these, but I don't go to a barber, obviously. I tip my hair stylist a minimum of $15, but usually $20+ depending on what crazy thing we did that day. She's the best and I love her.

Went to the window to order at the local dairy bar yesterday. Swiped card with Square app, and they shove it in your face for "tip." No... you didn't do anything special. "No tip" selected, and I get a glare.

My haircut is $10. I give my barber $11 every time. Is that below any type of "industry standard?"

Nope, but calling your female barber your babe is against douchiness standards.

I don't know what the industry standard is for tipping a barber, but I like my barber and the cut is worth at least $20 to me so that's what I tip. Do you go to the same person every time?

And you tip $1? I'd probably ask you to find a new barber.

I tip my barber $5, but then the cost of my haircuts is embarassing (the cost of going somewhere other than Supercuts). The cut and service probably isn't any better - I don't think tipping based on the bill is correct (aside from being a function of number of people, like at a restaurant).

Besides, tipping a barber is one of those things that irritates me. If the haircut is worth $20, then charge $20 - don't charge $15 and expect a $5 tip.

Like, WTF do I tip cab drivers? Hell, you cost more than Uber and most people don't tip them.

The only people that deserve tips are waitresses and strippers.

In the city, there is Supercuts and the like and everything else halfway decent is like $35-$50 or more.

I tip my barber $20. He's excellent, and very skilled at his profession and I believe in supporting someone with a skill set, especially one that I trust to not fuck it up. I also have a huge beard, which adds labor/time/anxiety while in the chair. Completely worth it.

I tip $2 on a $13 haircut at Supercuts. Pretty hard to screw up my short haircut.

I'm glad prices are more reasonable in Cincinnati. I drive about 10 minutes out of the city to go to my barber shop.

I go to a place very similar to this and it's $40 for haircut and beard trim finishing with a hot towel and straight razor shave. Usually takes about an hour.
