I apologize to S&L. I still think it's unlikely that this team gets back into the playoff picture, but I never dreamed they would turn it around like this. I thought for sure they would play pretty bad today. I was completely wrong about that.

Victor has been a solid contributor this year and has 5 TDs. He could be an absolute monster next year if he continues to develop.
His frame and length give him room to get bigger for sure and if he can be more consistent with his hands....he could be a big time receiving stud

Have to think that a score on this drive might have us seeing Haskins.

Haha no need to apologize. I even said I didn’t think they’d turn it around.

My whole point was that we are being gifted three (out of 4) good teams to end the season, which gives us a springshot of hope. Teams start to lose in front of us and you never know. Helps that there are a lot of vulnerable teams in college football this year.

Amazing what happens when you run the ball well. That being said our defense looks like it's usual self here

Can't really complain about anything today, but there is NO reason to be throwing the ball.

That was a hell of a play though.

Some of this shitty passing and play calling takes some zap out of this blowout and play calling still iffy too often. I don’t think a person in the world wasn’t expecting that play.

Exactly. Why are you throwing? Better yet, why the hell is JT in the game?

So dumb.

Get your starters out of the game, Urban. It's 48-3 in the damn 4thQ!!!

The practical part of me agrees. The vengeful part of me remembers the dumbass windmill kicker.

Are you really blocked into the kicker when you plow over the guy blocking you?

Nope, not at all. These refs are pure trash today.

Complete domination by both lines. Kind of a lack luster 2nd half though. Would have liked to see it in the high 50s.

So is the B1G east wrapped up with a win vs Illinois?

Yep, that's my understanding. Penn State and Michigan already have two losses within the division. MSU only has one division loss, but OSU holds the head-to-head tie breaker over them. I think that's the rationale.

The first tie breaker is worded as "1. The records of the three tied teams will be compared against each other."

I assume that means head to head records?

I feel like we've gone through this the past 4 years, but I always forget.

The wording on the Big Ten website is basically impossible for me to understand. lol

I heard a breakdown on the radio this week, and think it essentially came down to what I mentioned above, but not sure if that's technically the thought process according to the official rules.

I guess OSU would be 2-1 (if they lost to TTUN) against the other three teams. So would MSU.

PSU and UM would be 1-2.

So it goes to head-to-head for OSU/MSU, which was decided yesterday.

Michigan will have 3 conference losses if, and when, they lose to Wisky.

So they are out.

If OSU beats Illinois loses to Michigan, they will be 7-2. Which Sparty and PSU will be as well if they win out, which they should.

OSU 2-0
Sparty 1-1
PSU 0-2

I guess I was operating under the assumption of a four way tie because that's what people have been talking about. I actually think Michigan might beat Wisconsin next weekend.

But yeah, an OSU win or Michigan loss next weekend seals it, as long as the Buckeyes don't somehow lose to Illinois. lol

So after thinking about this a little more, does a win against Illinois actually clinch it if Michigan wins next week? If they beat Wisconsin, and then PSU or MSU somehow blows a game, Ohio State would need to beat Michigan, right?

For OSU to clinch this coming weekend, they must win and Michigan must lose.

Your layout of the 4 way tie is correct. OSU gets in by its victory over Sparty.
