Just a glorified exhibition game, with not much at stake! Nothing wrong with risking it for the win, trying to win in regulation. I agree on the 2nd pass, but the worst mistake of the two was throwing off his back foot on the first one when the receiver was wide open and giving the defender time to close and deflect it.Azubuike24;1830992 wrote:After the first dropped INT, you go right back to the well and throw an even worse pass? Maybe, but does that mean we use that excuse for any game that isn't for a title? Both teams clearly wanted to win the Rose Bowl. They played ultra, ultra conservative with the lead...

PSU finally got bit in the ass with all those deep passes. Lived all year and had great breaks in many games.
Two plays earlier if the receiver comes back to the ball they have it 10 yards from FG range with 45 seconds left

Penn St outscores USC 49-22 in the middle two quarters, scoring a TD on each of their 7 possessions, while getting shut-out in the first and 4th quarters having 5 punts and 2 interceptions on those 7 possessions.
