Penn State has been damn impressive since beating OSU, and it doesn't help that the Buckeyes shit themselves in the Fiesta Bowl, but the committee has to evaluate resumes. Penn State lost to Michigan by 40 and lost to Pitt. Their SOS was worse than OSU and they had one less quality win. It's easy to say now that Penn State should have been in, but at that point in time, their resume didn't stack up.

Hell, Pitt beat PSU and Clemson. Should they have been in? They were 8-4 and then just lost to Northwestern in a bowl.

I concur. They need to have another option when it comes to targeting to allow them to not toss a guy if its not vicious. I know that could lead to some judgement calls but to get elected for that is garbage

Don't lose by 40
I know hindsight is 20/20 but Penn State is clearly better than OSU right now.

As for targeting I don't know why players keep leaving their feet to hit people. If you lower your shoulder and go for his you won't get the call, but this obsession with going high has to stop. Lacrosse and hockey for years have been ejecting and suspending players for going high and leaving the feet

Can't stand when you go a whole season saying conference __________ was the best. And then completely change your opinion based on one game per team.
I get what you're saying about one game, but I thought OSU was really good. They were exposed. I thought FSU would have trouble scoring on Michigan and they didn't. I thought Iowa was decent because they beat Michigan and they sucked. Penn state is looking OK. Wisconsin beat a fucking MAC team. If it was one team I might think they were still a good conference but they were all pretty fucking horrible. (Maybe I'm still feeling the shutout)

That being overturned is complete fucking horse shit. One hand on the ball is possession? Get real.

As an official of 5 years how the fuck can you make that call. lol it's a fumble at the bottom of a pile, how can you say the guy who had it in the replay for a split second actually had it?

That's terrible

True but at least in hockey they are not ejection guys if it is a hit that is not that bad like this one. May solicit penalty but not an ejected. I was going to bring up how hockey has a different penalty for high sticking depending on the severity. Draw blood and its a double minor.

You're just being dramatic lol. OSU still won @oklahoma, @wisconsim, Michigan..OSU isn't all of a sudden a bad team because they had one bad game against the second best team in the country lol.

And Michigan had their two best players out in that game.

Iowa blows. They are 8-4 because of their schedule, not because they're good.

B1G is still the best conference in the country. That really can't change in my mind.

Exactly. Why not for a light targeting issue a 15 minute suspension while if it's vicious and causes injury issue a full game misconduct

I agree. They need to add in another option. As for the big ten. . . . 3 and 6 and possibly 4 and 6 if they hold on does not seen like the best conference to me and one win was a one score game against a mac team. Too many people cannot see past their own allegiances. If the tables were turned and this was the sec many here would be raging on how they were so over rated

Big Ten is still the best conference even if they went 0-12 in Bowl games.

They beat each other up in the regular season.

After the first dropped INT, you go right back to the well and throw an even worse pass? Made no sense.

An absolutely epic choke by Penn State. I get it they came back, but up by a TD, with the ball and under 4 minutes, you can't lose in regulation. At worst, OT...
