I believe the earliest version you could find would be the Codex Sinaiticus but even that had hebrew translated into greek. It is handwritten with corrections scattered throughout as the effort was made to read the text.

How would you even read it??

Would the first biblical cannon suffice? There wasn't really a "Bible" until the collection of books/letters was decided upon to actually make up the official book. The "worthiness" of being the authoritative word had to be finalized by Rabbis, scholars and Christians as God was imparting to His followers what He had decided would make up the Bible.

Considering his daily struggles with English, I'm skeptical of how well he's able to read the current versions.

They died before the book was put together but some of the Codex Sinaiticus has author signatures on it.
