No.
Pretty much every Presidential campaign manager of both parties have said over the past day or so they would not have taken the meeting and would have alerted the FBI of the invitation.
Nicolle Wallace of the W and Cheney campaign said she would have reached out to the FBI about the invitation for the meeting.

The idea that Trump Jr did this for the child adoption reason makes no sense now as in the email exchange he released, he knew Clinton would be discussed, and he was hoping the Russians did have the dirt.

Of course that's what they said. Let's just ignore that the main driver of the Russian investigation was that Dossier, which was started by Republican candidates or their supporters as opposition research, and later continued by Clinton/supporters. Never mind that investigator had, as his sources, RUSSIAN SPIES!!!

That's the story that never gets covered, though. I'm sure the Clinton supporter had no connections to the campaign.

And yet we had an actual government official, the US Secretary of State, agree to a deal to send 20% of our uranium to Russia in return for tens of millions of $$ in kickbacks to her foundation (for personal use) funneled through a Canadian shell to conceal its pathway. Then, this same official, who had already violated national security protocol jeopardizing the security of the nation, destroyed tens of thousands of emails, and deliberately bleached her hard drive to suppress the evidence of her criminality.

Please, fucking stop.

Fine, look into that too....and see what other links there may be.
But, don't give me, oh everyone would meet with a Russian to discuss opposition research. No they wouldn't.

I have not read where any agency official is confirming that; perhaps you can provide that information on Veselnitskaya.

But Veselnitskaya, speaking to NBC News prior to Trump Jr. releasing the emails, flatly denied any connection to the Russian government. Kremlin officials said on Monday that they were unfamiliar with the lawyer.

Literally the email.

And he decided to meet with them.

Hardly, and with the obama administration's justice department being in full protection mode she was aided in her criminality. Her destruction of her records fully supports her decades-long penchant for destroying evidence. Sickening.

Here, with Jr., you have a relative releasing emails related to a meeting that was totally meaningless. But hey, have at it.

LOL ......and then what happened; they told him she was a bitch, or a money-launderer, or a pathetic Sec of State, or something else that maybe we didn't know about. Hilarious.

It needs no proof because everyone in Russia is Russian spy.

If Trump were smart like Hillary he'd have, I don't know, someone beyond reproach...someone like a former MI6 operative...go talk to, and pay, actual Russian spies for information.

I just love how you just move to deflect and say well Obama and Clinton were worse, and even if it was a Russian and if it was opposition research, it was warranted because she was such a vile and corrupt person.
Again, I highly doubt you would be singing the same tune if Chelsea Clinton was on the other end doing the same thing.

No, they wouldn't.

I'm only saying Republican candidates and Clinton paid this guy money to go do that. It's been documented, but doesn't get reported because Trump won. It's even rumored the FBI paid him for a while (with McCain delivering his Dossier to the FBI).

I think this latest story is FINALLY something to be concerned about with the Trump team and Russia....All I'm saying is, if you're being fair and objective, you should be maybe even more concerned that deep pocketed "supporters" (who most likely are VERY closely connected to the campaigns) paid a British spy to give money to Russian spies for dirt on Trump - that's the real bombshell here, and heck this thing might even have been part of the effort for entrapment.

Let that sink in long and hard. Be outraged about Trump, but be at least as outraged about that.

I did not say it "was warranted". I have yet to see where it is wrong for a campaign staffer to meet with foreigners, let alone illegal.

But even if they did, you have to acknowledge that her campaign chose not to use any of it (I assume the "grab" audio came from a different source).

Granted, after she lost it appears they somehow suckered McCain into delivering it to the FBI....you know, because McCain is a real American.

Well, and now that I think about it, this was shopped around a few months before the election but nobody would touch it - had to wait for Trump to lose so CNN would stop trying to be a news organization.

I agree QO's tune would be different, but I have to lol at you pretending you are impartial and would call a spade a spade. You were nowhere to be found admitting fault on the past administration and now you're on here lecturing QO for not being honest with himself? Gtfo.

Come on now.
I would disagree with Obama on here. But, compared to the most of the board on here, I was the Obama lover.
I hated Obama's Syria, late Iraq, Afghan, and North Korean policy.
But, I just didn't think he was a Muslim, commie, African leading to the destruction of the western world.

LOL. You "criticized" him like most fanboys would pretending to be impartial - always qualified, he either didn't do enough or it was better than nothing....or better than Bush.

You hated his Syria, late Iraq, Afghan, and NK policy...so basically almost his entire foreign policy (and I think you must be forgetting Russia), but I seem to remember in 2012 you voting for him because of his foreign policy, especially vs. Romney.

That's a strawman. There were 2 maybe 3 posters here that ever posted that stuff. You may claim not to be a liberal, but that's textbook SOP for liberals to basically lump anyone who disagrees with them into the right-wing/alt-right group.

Well considering you pick easy targets (QO, cc, etc), it's not hard to say you came off as an obama lover compared to the "rest of the OC."

Fact of the matter is you were always one of his biggest apologists and 95% of the time did not hold him accountable. Where were you when he told Medvedev he will have more flexibility? Where were you to admit Obama mocking Romney regarding Russia was actually idiotic?

Don't give me this "come on now" bullshit. You can act righteous with QO all you want, but there is no doubt you're a hypocrite. Don't worry though, that pretty much sums of the majority of this nation and our partisan culture. Go team!

It still makes me laugh that democrats act like Russia is a bad word now, but when Romney said they were a big enemy they all laughed at him. What a 180.

If Trump were a liberal democrat but being accused of the same things he is presently, you know you would be all over him calling for impeachment and criminal charges. Now that it's your boy, all you can do is offer a "yeah, but he stole more than I did teacher" defense.

Trump is no conservative, and loosely "republican" based on business dealings. I actually think he leans left. But back to Jr.

A lawyer, a pop star and a talent agent.

Is that the cruxt of who Jr. dealt with concerning this latest thing?
