The 1976 Indiana Hoosiers – the last college basketball team to go undefeated en route to a national championship – are the subject of a new Showtime documentary.
Bob Knight coached those Hoosiers, and the vitriol still drips from the Hall of Famer when it comes to the people who ran the university during his tenure. Knight and Indiana had a messy divorce in 2000, and the rift still hasn't been mended.
On Friday, Knight went on "The Dan Patrick Show" and was in vintage form. From that conversation, via the Indianapolis Star:
Patrick asked Knight: Why do we want you to go back to Assembly Hall so bad?
“Well, I think I’ve always really enjoyed the fans, I always will," Knight said. "On my dying day, I will think about how great the fans at Indiana were. And as far as the hierarchy at Indiana University at that time, I have absolutely no respect whatsoever for those people. With that in mind, I have no interest in ever going back to that university.”
Patrick followed up: "Aren’t those people all out of there coach?"
Knight: “I hope they’re all dead."
Patrick: "Some of them are…"
Knight: “Well, I hope the rest of them go.”

I'm not really sure how what Knight said was funny at all. He is an asshole. I can't stand the guy anymore.

Up by 13 and it goes down to 7 by halftime because Berry and Jackson are sitting with foul trouble.

If Carolina doesn't run this team out of the gym in the 2nd half, I'm gonna lose my mind.

I thought Kentucky was brutal without De'Aaron Fox, but without Berry, it's either a Justin Jackson brick or hoping for an offensive rebound.

The game ended when Berry picked up a dumb foul with 15 minutes to go. It was a stupid reach by him.

The two fouls on him prior to that were complete fucking garbage though.

K works the refs the entire damn game and he reaps the benefits of it every time. This is horseshit from Carolina though. Complete panic without Berry.

I wasn't referring to the refs or game. More so the predicting the other team to win. You always get so butthurt about Duke.

Things have favored Duke from what I've seen, but it's the perfect storm for them. They don't have a counter or an answer for an elite PG, so take the PG out of the game and it really changes the landscape.

They have the dirtiest player in the country who shouldn't be playing this game after the kick against Louisville.
