Your happiness, success and well-being 4 years from now will be from your own doing, not whom resides in the WH.

No,he is not. There lives, just like everyone else, will be no better, or worse, than it is right now. Their future depends on whom looks at them when they look into a mirror, not who is president.

You don't think banning gays from getting married will make their lives worse?

His cabinet and how he structures his staff will be incredibly important.
I wonder how much power/ control he cedes to the Congress?
How many and what type of Executive Orders will he issue?
Oh, and how exactly will his businesses be impacted? Will he totally cut ties with them, eliminating any potential conflict of interests?

If Trump is f'ing the LGBTQ folks would that make him LGBTQ himself and therefore f'ing himself?
I have something that will blow your mind...
My sister is a lesbian and voted for Trump.
My wife is bisexual and voted for Trump.
They both are all for LGBTQ rights and want to help spread marriage laws, etc, but both saw how corrupt Hillary was.

That will likely stay as a state issue.
....and banning everyone, gays included, from marriage should make everyone's lives better!

He has said it should be determined by the states, not banned across the US (at least in the speeches I saw anyway).

A lot of people think he's going to overturn Roe v. Wade, Obamacare, gay marriage, etc.
Obamacare is the only thing that I legitimately think is in immediate jeopardy. He will have a GOP Congress that is ready to green light the elimination of that healthcare system but as far as everything else I don't think he has a chance in hell. It's very difficult to overturn SCOTUS rulings and a good chunk of the GOP doesn't like Trump and won't back everything he says.
Our foreign relations are as good as fucked though. Good bye NATO and potentially the UN; NAFTA is out the door as well.

He wont eliminate obamacare. Taking way the covering would be political suicide. He has talked about changing it, tweaking, and making it better and more affordable. Once that system was in place, it wasnt going to be taken away. I agree that Roe V Wade wont get over turned and gay marriage will continue to be a state issue.
NATO and the UN isnt going anywhere. Maybe he stronger stance on foreign issues will be a good thing. Look for him to really temper down what his rhetoric was during the campaign.
Again, in 2020 when we go to the polls again, our lives will have much more to do with what we make of them over whomever is the President. That is something you can book.
There is already a plan in place to carry out such an effort. The President Elect only needs to sign such a bill into law...which I think he would. The real challenge would be to get it to his desk.

Well I have no faith in backwards ass Ohio doing the right thing where gay marriage is concerned.

I am actually for gay marriage but just correcting the statement as best as I know Trump had said. He said it should be a states decision, he didn't say he wanted to ban them.

Agreed. Get gov out of marriage entirely. It's a legal contract between two adults. Let the drafted contract dictate the terms.
Standard benefits should be eliminated. Refer to the contract.

Was your candidate promoting that the federal government mandate gay marriage legal across the country?

We already know that you believe YOUR way is the 'right thing where gay marriage is concerned'.
I didn't truly support a candidate in this presidential election, but the one I supported in the primary was just fine with the SCOTUS ruling and had no intentions of trying to overturn it.
And yes, I believe my way is the right way. I believe in basic human rights. There are a lot of things I am willing to compromise on. This isn't one of them.

Shocker, someone who screams "trump's a bigot and racist and sexist!" Doesn't actually know the facts of their accusation.
I don't like Trump. Hell I'm a republican who voted for Hillary. But I don't like trump because I don't believe he'd be able to accomplish anything as president. Not because CNN told me he was a bigot/sexist/racist.

Obama care will be as good as gone. And another thing that will thankfully be gone is the common core bullshit. Should definitely help with our education. I don't think nafta will be gone, but I do believe it will be tweaked to help benefit us more. It will definitely be an interesting 4 years but it's time for some charges and hopefully they pay off.

Fair enough. Let's revisit this in 4 years and I bet that however things go in our lives it will be because of our choices, our paths and our beliefs and not any sitting president.
