They hate Hillary and vote for their party. Hillary did nothing to keep them home. Pretty simple logic.

I dont know if the overall votes for the dem party were down overall. I know when CNN when they would click on many of the counties that historically voted overwhelmingly democratic she just wasnt making nearly as much hay as DEMs did in the past.

I know our county voted nearly 81% for DT, but that isnt abnormal.

I think we all know that if nearly anyone not named Hillary Clinton with the corruption, lies, and frankly cheating during the primaries, was nominated, Trump loses in a landslide.

Of course, the same maybe able to be said for many of the original republican candidates, they could have beat Hillary in a landslide.

Hillary made Sarah Palin look like a good choice...let that sink in. Hillary may have been the worst nomination by either of the 2 major parties since Bob Dole, although Gore was pretty close (didn't know how much of a loon he was until later, so Hillary was worse).

Honestly consider that, Hillary is worse than Kerry, Gore, McCain, Romney, etc. 2 decades since Dole and he is the first one that comes to mind as a worse nomination.

Some times I wonder if I am on the "right" side, and then things like how those whackjobs in California act that make me realize that yeah, I am on the side of right.

California is doing great v. say Kansas but it is like a different world compared to the rest of the country.

On another note:
I heard on the news this earlier this morning that 18% of the black male vote went to Trump. Does that mean that those folks were racist, misogynist, uneducated, sexist bigots? I know that people on here and other places are popping off out of bitterness of their party losing, but still - at some point you've got to realize what you're saying, right?!

I think that the curve might be starting to get to the point where minorities are starting to be sick of being the useful tools of a particular party. If that is the case, we'll all hear the sound of a giant puckering all across the US.

And to further my thoughts on this, looking at Hillary losing, the house and senate on down to my area's local races (all around, really), I think that people in general are just sick of democrats at this point.

Obama beat Romney 65,915,795 to 60,933,504
Trump beat Hillary 59,438,335 to 59,647,392

It looks like 10 million+ stayed home for this election.

How about when he talked at the RNC about having to give LGBTQ equality/equal rights and had a speaker at the convention who had just came out as homosexual. It was the first openly homosexual speaker ever at the RNC.

Trump told the RNC that they needed to do better at helping the LGBTQ community and their rights. His own words, not what the CNN/MSNBC folks said that he said.

Now, was that a ruse to garner a few LGBTQ votes? Time will tell, but he was the first republican nominee to try to bridge that gap.

How gratifying that the pollsters and the media and the entrenched bureaucracy got this 'jolt'. It is high time the intellectual elites holed up in the urban centers got their ass kicked. If they bothered to actually get out of their cocoons and spend some time in fly-over country they might gain a true understanding of the positions and concerns that tens of millions of The People harbor. Instead, they tried to deftly portray the millions who stood in lines for hours at Trump rallies in a way to fit their twisted narrative. Their utter disdain and condescension for the common folk has been on full display and it finally struck a cord that was clearly evident here, on the ground, but obviously disregarded by the uppity know-it-alls on the east coast. They may be able to take for granted and habitually abuse a block like the African-Americans, but the big block they have abused, castigated, and maligned, in both policy and rhetoric - The Deplorables, was a block too large to manage from the top down, and from their ivory tower perches.

The comeuppance was long, long overdue. To see the enlightened exposed as unenlightened; the media as corrupt; and the liberal agenda as bankrupt, is a sight to behold. May these egotistical phonies rot.
