I like buddy and think he'll be a decent NBA player in his career. He's just not a "curry type" potential.

lol dogshit trade for the kings. This reminds me of the Baron Davis for Kyrie, Nets trade for PP, KG, etc....

He's a spot up shooter who isn't a great shooter. Also, despite being a rookie he is the same age as Andre Drummond.

He's also not good, but sometimes it takes time. Plenty of examples of this in the NBA.

I guess I don't see the comparison. Curry is one of the best shooters ever, an MVP, a champion, etc. Hardly anyone is in the same category as him.

Maybe when Hield has been in the NBA for five years he too can be an underperforming big man on a dog-shit Pistons team making $22 million a year.

Heck, you would've thought at least someone like Washington or Boston would've offered a better player for Cousins?
Why won't they ever see the 1st round pick in this deal? Its top 3 protected. New Orleans will likely make it to the playoffs and if not, there is about 0 chance they land in the top 3. The pick will go to Sacramento. Also, the Kings have a top 10 protected pick for this year's draft, so they are now in full tank mode to save that. At worst they go from likely no picks in the first of this years draft to a great chance of having two in the first. They could end up trading one of these picks to land a big man to replace Cousins (Okafor,Vucevic, etc). Don't get me wrong, I still hate this trade for Sacramento.

Pelicans now need to pick up a guard or two.

.
Yes, exactly. I'm not bashing hield. I'm bashing the owner of the kings who compared hield to curry.

He's old. 23-year old players without a high pedigree of talent don't usually become NBA MVP's.

Still baffled he went higher than Jamal Murray who is almost 4 years younger and already better.

I don't understand why friendfrom is defending Hield's honor?

So, Magic is now in charge of the Lakers front office.

Between the Lakers and Kings, west coast basketball is getting even more hilariously dysfunctional than it has been in ages!

Two posts basically saying I didn't understand the hate hardly means defending his honor. But you knew that.

I like Magic in charge. Lakers in playoffs 2019-2020, win a playoff series in 2020-21, championship contender for the next 5 years

Book it

I don't mind Magic. It's all gonna depend on who he brings in as GM. There are rumors floating around that it could be Kobe's agent. No idea how I feel about that.

There's been several agents who have jumped into a GM role, but I still think it's weird.

I was just about to ask if there has ever been agents who made the transition to GM. I am not sure why any successful agent would want to do that.

Also, I am reading Pelinka's wiki and he was the agent and architect behind Boozer fucking over the Cavs. Pelinka can go fuck himself, and I hope is a complete failure.

Bob Myers of the franchise that blew a 3-1 lead in the finals is an example.

Didn't know that, guess he's a snake in the grass fuckstick. Hope no team deals with him because of his history.

Also, piggying on what like_that said regarding User Loser Boozer, ANYONE that tries to say Paxon is a liar can go pound sand, "As a result, SFX dropped Boozer as a client,[SUP][145][/SUP] and Pelinka left the firm"

Yeah, you don't drop players and fire an agent if they acted in accordance with good faith negotiating.
