It's just more LOL for the Knicks...especially considering a lot in the organization feel exactly the same way as Oakley.

Does anyone actually believe that? Lol
I know it's a cool story bro, but I met his mom and dad at the Sandusky mall a long time ago, we were in line behind them and they were probably the nicest people I ever met

I don't believe it, but Dolan's enough of a douche that it's conceivable on some level. One of those situations where you're 99% sure Oakley's fudging the details, but there's just enough of a possibility that did happen that you laugh about it. Kind of sums up the last few years for the Knicks, at least for me!

It's too bad he had to turn violent. Up until that point he could have been viewed as an advocate for the fans giving Dolan a hard time for the shit that's out on the court every night.

Jabari Parker tore his ACL again. Such a talented player, hated him because of Dook, but man. Hate to see guys go down.

Damn that sucks... same knee too. Has anyone came back from 2 ACL tears in the same knee before and played great again? Always loved him cause he went to Duke haha. Hope he can come back he's been great to watch in the NBA.

Westbrook? His weren't as serious and may not have been ACL tears, but I know he had some knee shit.

I went and looked it up since all I could remember was a meniscus issue for him. It looks like that was only major (if you want to call a meniscus major) surgery he had. It sounds like the other 2 were just cleanups for loose tissue and swelling.

Meniscus is pretty minor and nothing like the ACL.

From an immediate trauma and recovery time standpoint, yes. From a long-term standpoint, not necessarily. Westbrook is one of the lucky ones who never lost his spring and explosiveness, but there are many who never regained it after a Meniscus tear. Especially one that required a repair and not a removal.

I tore my PCL and Meniscus, def wasn't minor. I gained like 50 lbs and was walking with a limp for months after. Took over a yr before I felt "normal" and my knee still hurts if I treat too rough on a day. Granted, I'm not an elite athlete who was rehabbing 5 hours a day.

Agree. I remember reading something regarding the torn and repaired Meniscus was the single most-damaging injury to football players. At least when it came to longevity and future problems. It's just not a clean injury, and regardless of how it's fixed, it's never 100% like an ACL. It's like picturing a square dish sponge that is a full square. There is a tear and you remove one corner. It might work perfectly fine as a functional sponge, but it's never what it was before cutting a piece out. It's just such a weird injury, because you can literally be running on it a week after a surgery and back to playing in a few weeks, but the long-term effects never cease.

How many meniscus tears have ended careers?

ACL is a huge issue because you lose confidence in your knee. I tore mine and became afraid to play basketball for a few years so I can only imagine what pro athletes experience.

Can't believe Golden State is doing this in an environment as jacked up as Chesapeake is right now. This is why the shirts need to be printed

If anyone on the Thunder besides Westbrook gave a shit about beating Golden State, you'd never know. Losses by 26, 21, and 16.

Nuggets up 79-54 at the half on the Warriors. I'm sure the dubs will come back to win by 20 but damn. 79 in a half.
