I was fine through Memorial Day. Now I'm antsy. Should start tonight, imo

This is the best they can come up with? Not very bright out there in the Bay...

I like the idea that both teams get enough rest that no team can claim to still be tired from the previous series. It sucks having to wait so long, but I'm glad everyone is going to be well-rested.

Yeah, I'm not insulted in any way. In keeping with the theme:

Damn pretty much everyone on SI has the warriors winning in 5 and some even 4.

I like Warriors in 6. Cleveland is a damn good team, they went 12-1 in their conference for Christ sakes. But last year was such an even series and Golden State added the 3rd best player in basketball on their team, no modern team matches up

If Classy is taking the Warriors, put money on the Cavs.

If there are two sure bets that will win you money they are

1. Classy shows up to OC when things aren't going well for the Cavs vs the Warriors.
2. Classy shows up to OC when the tigers are doing well.

Warriors added Durant but lost a lot of their bench, which was a deciding factor vs most teams.

Cavs returned everyone and added much better role players and their shooters are deadly. This gives them a chance.

If it were 5 v 5, Warriors have too much, but it's not. The bench will be a factor and the Cavs can win there. If they can outscore the Warriors by 8-12 when it's primarily 2nd unit vs 2nd unit I like their chances in 6 or 7. If not, Warriors probably win in 5, but all close games. Both teams score too well to be blown out, imo.

Blown out in a series or game, because I could easily see most games being blow outs just like last series (sans game 7)?

To add to that, Kerr being out hurts GS.

Don't forget, when it matters most, mike brown is a really bad coach.

I agree with everything except the Warriors having too much if it were 5 on 5 only.

Kyrie > Steph
J.R. < Klay
LBJ > KD
KLove = Braymond
Tristan > ZsaZsa

I meant a game. I think they are all close.

Of course, either team can score so well, that blowouts could happen if one team is insanely hot. I guess you're right in that aspect.

The bench, while still with a couple key guys, is much thinner, though.

Also, there's going to be a diminishing return when the greatest offensive team in a LONG time gets another great scorer. The team will only take so many shots, so adding a scorer just redistributes the percentages of who is shooting how many of them.

KD does obviously add height, though, which they were sorely lacking last year, when Bogut went out, and someone who can take over a game if Curry and Thompson run cold, which does happen from time to time.

Not saying KD isn't an improvement. He is. But I don't think the improvement is as relevant as the "3rd best player in basketball" title might otherwise indicate.

ESPN's Zack Lowe did a good piece on my favorite player not named LeBron James:

[h=1]Tristan Thompson is an enormous 'problem' for Cavs opponents[/h]

I predict a Cavs win...and it will be at home. So game 4 or 6.

Saw an interesting debate the other day....if you were doing a 2-Team draft of the Cavs-Warriors starters, what would it look like?

1)LBJ 2)KD
3)Steph 4)KI
5)Draymond 6)Love
7)Klay 8)TT
9)JR 10)Zaza

I would never take Steph over KI.

I would.

I heard a similar pair-up on Mike & Mike, but loosely by position. Here was how they came down:

LBJ > KD
Kyrie = Steph
JR < Klay
Love < Draymond
Tris > Zaza

The biggest difference was between Klay and JR.

Draymond is definitely a greater douche than Love. Or anyone, for that matter. I'd take Love over Draymond.

Draymond is definitely a D-Bag but if he was on your team, he'd be your D-Bag, and you'd love him. He's an a-hole but a fierce competitor.

If we are only picking those 10 players, TT's WAR has to be so much higher than Zaza that I'd expect him to be taken before 8th. It is hard to look at some other metric beyond scoring, and that is what TT brings.

I think an X Factor/Unsung hero in this series could be Korver.

I see him averaging no fewer than 10 threes per game.

It's going to be a series of matchups. Does GS try to hide Steph on korver? If they do I would run korver off a bunch of screens and make Steph work and run on defense
