I knew it was 50+ years old just thought the way it's set up with the 5 levels would be a cool big game atmosphere

They still do that? Most stadiums that had those gave them up already (Indians haven't had AYCE in like 5 years)

This was about 8 years ago when I interned in LA. I am not sure if they do, but it was nice then.

Maybe Toles should have taken a fraction of a second to measure that throw like Heyward did!

Poor defense kills! That bad throw helped lead to 4 runs and get the P out of the game. If that relatively easy throw for the tag and out was executed, they would have one out, runners on 1st and 2nd and the bottom of the order up. Not a bad situation, Heyward would have probably struck out or hit into a DP, and no runs would have been a likely result. Now the Cubs have 2 more hitters feeling much better about themselves, Heyward and Russell.

I love watching how grumpy he gets. Guy is a competitor for sure. He was great as a 21 year old in the 2002 World Series

Lol he is such a big giant asshole. Maddon comes out to pull Lackey and you can read Lackey's lips as he says "are you fucking kidding me?"....then stares down Maddon and then grumbles back to the dugout

Lackey didn't dare say something of dissent to Maddon! Walk the first 2 with a 5 run lead, no one to blame but himself! Or he could blame the ump!

2.5 hrs and the 6th inning hasn't started yet! Glad I'm now retired and don't have to get out of bed early anymore.

I know LA crowds are laid back but jeez it sounds like everyone is rooting for the Cubs and this was well before it was 10-2.

"Laid back" fanbase is a nice way of saying shitty fanbase. LA fans are amongst the shittiest fans in this country. Right there with Miami. There is just so much to do there guise!!!

A lot of empty seats too. I saw that Dodgers NLDS tickets were selling for $8.

Losing this series would bum me out. Losing this series to a team that has possibly the worst fans in baseball would enrage me.

It's not the players' fault that their fans suck; but no team with fans that shitty deserve to make it to the World Series.

You can also look at it as they made it to the World Series without any fan support.

Players playing for themselves, their teammates and manager, regardless of 25,000 fans or 40,000

Imagine how Indians fans felt losing to the Marlins in the WS.

They didn't feel bad because of their fan base. They felt bad because their hearts were ripped to shreds.

Yes, but the fact it was to a shitty fan base made it even more depressing.
