Sometimes when you are considered a "managerial genius" you get caught up in all the hype and start believing that "I have to do something unconventional because I'm a genius." Well you just cost your team a playoff win. Britton sees no action but Ubaldo Jimenez does. This is one of the biggest blunders in playoff history.

He would have been justified putting him in the 9th when the Jays threatened and got the 9th/10th out of him. At the very least.....he should have been in the 11th. No excuse for it, none whatsoever.

Giants getting hosed in the 4th. Debate Span clearly safe at 2nd but called out. Then Pence took a 3-0 pitch off the plate and ump called strike then gave Syndergaard the next corner pitch.

MadBum continues to be great in the postseason. A streak of 23 scoreless innings in eliminations game. Two complete game shutouts the bookend the 23 innings, but neither as impressive as the 5 innings on two days rest to close game 7 of the 2014 world series!
