Toronto just retook the lead over Boston in the 8th, 2-1 (2 outs, runners on corners, BOS pitching change)
Tigers down 1-0 headed to the 9th
If everything can hold, no game tomorrow and in Cleveland on Thursday

Detroit lost.
Toronto up 2-1 to the 9th. Yes, that Ortiz will bat in the bottom.

Should be Bauer/Porcello for game 1. Kluber/Price for game 2.

If the Red Sox would have won today, would it have meant Cle-Det would have needed to play tomorrow even though the wildcard was already decided?

Yeah, MLB requires all games with an impact on home field status to be played.mhs95_06;1813496 wrote:If the Red Sox would have won today, would it have meant Cle-Det would have needed to play tomorrow even though the wildcard was already decided?

Hell yea home field. Not sure I like Tomlin in Boston but hopefully we are up 2-0 when we head there.
So why Bauer game one? Because he's more comfortable on 3 game rest? That would make sense to me

It gives kluber an extra day to come back from injury and keeps Bauer on his regular pitching schedule. I actually love the move and that way kluber would be the game 5 starter if it's necessaryiclfan2;1813500 wrote:Hell yea home field. I'm definitely not mad about it. I've just read that Kluber doesn't like 3 days rest, and Bauer thinks he can pitch everyday. So was just curious if that was in the convo. Pumped for Thursday, hopefully the later game. Wish I was going but my luck isn't great after the wc Salazar loss.Crimson streak;1813502 wrote:It gives kluber an extra day to come back from injury and keeps Bauer on his regular pitching schedule. Playing Boston should help with game times, as we know the networks love to shove NYY and BOS down the nation's throat with prime slots whenever possible. For once it won't be annoying as fuck that they're doing it!iclfan2;1813510 wrote:I'm definitely not mad about it. Predicting your pitchers get squeezed at least when Ortiz is up. Hope the Indians advance regardless.

ESPN writers already pickng Boston to win it all because they are sworn to promote them and/or the Yankees at all costs
