They had Rajai shaded up the middle. He's tough to double up but it would have been close. Break for the Tribe that it hit Soria...regardless of the out made.

I believe Tomlin now has the lowest walks per 9 innings of any Indians' s*tarter since 1908. He definitely attacks the strike-zone but it's all about location/command with him since he's not going to blow it by anyone.

It was certainly encouraging to see Tomlin have back to back solid outings but we need to keep winning. 1 game behind Texas in the loss column but only half a game up on Boston. They have won 6 straight...we do not want to start the playoffs out with 2 games at Fenway and it would be huge to have a potential game 5 in Cleveland vs Boston.

Well yes. Just saying that, going into the game, I wanted Tomlin to have another solid outing (he was better than solid) more than I wanted a win. Getting both is better.

I looked at it this way...which was more important/good to see??
- Tomlin 6IP and 3ER or less
- Tribe wins slugfest, 9-8

Tribe strike first in the 2nd with a run. Royals follow it up with a 4 single inning and take the lead 2-1.
