Tribe come in winning 6 straight after last nights walk off. Houston has won 7 out of their last 10. This is a 4 game series. Clevinger replaces Tomlin in the rotation and gets the start today, followed by Kluber, and carrasco, with Bauer closing it out. Let's go tribe!!

Today is the only unfavorable pitching match up.

Go Tribe! Today will be interesting with Clevinger supposedly only allowed to pitch a few innings, per Tito. Might see Tomlin for a few innings too.

Another series in which the opposing team needs the series more than the Indians. Indians are helping clear out the wildcard races.

If Naquin could only play defense--man he's bad.

Clevinger struggling, yanked after only 42 pitches

He's on a pitch count. Tito already said he will only be going 2-3 inningsvball10set;1809729 wrote:Clevinger struggling, yanked after only 42 pitches

Yes it would, but we'll be lucky to get 2 out of 4

We have Kluber, Carrasco and Bauer going. At home. Offense that's towards the top of MLB. And we will be LUCKY to win 2 games out of 4 versus someone?

...as a heart attack...we have steady Kluber and Carrasco going, with a schizophrenic Bauer slotted for the finale, and it's always an adventure as to what offense will show up (but it was a good sign seeing Nap get that monkey off his back with his 30th dinger). So yeah, I'll take 2 out of 4 and like it.Laley23;1809775 wrote:Is this serious?

I agree, favorable pitching matchups, at least 2 of remaining 3, good possibility of all 3. 1 of 3 would be disappointing.Laley23;1809775 wrote:Is this serious?

No, you said LUCKY TO WIN 2. As in, 1 should be expected. Thats asinine. 1-3 versus the Astros, at home, with the 3 guys we are throwing would be an utter disappointment.vball10set;1809784 wrote:...as a heart attack...we have steady Kluber and Carrasco going, with a schizophrenic Bauer slotted for the finale, and it's always an adventure as to what offense will show up (but it was a good sign seeing Nap get that monkey off his back with his 30th dinger). Runners on second and third, no outs...and we strand them both...the adventure continues

Keep getting runners on vs this chump and we'll get to him. Opportunity to spot Kluber 1 or 2 runs blown there, though.vball10set;1809874 wrote:Runners on second and third, no outs...and we strand them both...the adventure continues

Kluber hung an 0-2 breaking ball right down the middle.
We got one back here so far in the bottom of the 2nd

Kluber doesn't have it if he's walking back to back guys with 2 outs and hanging 0-2 hooks.
Now 4-1. Astros still threatening.
I guess he's allowed to have a clunker. He hasn't been anything short of great since July 3rd or something crazy.
