I'd go Notre Dame, just based on they were top 10 at one point and may not make a bowl game. Stanford would be a close 2nd to me

I'd go ND as well and I'm an ND fan smh. Absolutely horrible. Brian Kelly's seat might be getting very hot soon. Yesterday was just pitiful. Let's throw the ball 26 times in the middle of a hurricane. Great job Brian Kelly

His seat was hot from Day 1 from the actual college football fans. He's overrated trash and he's STILL never won anything.

With Houston losing, it really looks like it's 6 teams for the playoff and everyone else.

Washington has 3 remaining road games, but only @Utah will be against a team over .500. I guess the Apple Cup will have a lot of season-ruining on the line for the Cougars.

Alabama goes to Knoxville and then hosts A&M. After that, it's pretty easy with @LSU and 3 remaining home games.

Texas A&M gets a bye week and then goes to Alabama. After that, their only road game @MSU and 4 home games.

Clemson has 4 home games left and one of their road games is Wake Forest. They play @FSU in 2 weeks, their only remaining road block.

Ohio State and Michigan look unstoppable on their way to The Game.

I see reports of people having OSU and UM in the playoffs, I can't see a team that doesn't win their conference let alone even getting into the title game making the playoffs

Would need help, but yes, they seemingly would be the first 1-loss team in the pecking order.

Notre Dame. Bonus points for having a moron for a coach. Weather conditions are pure shit, so run a pass-oriented offense! Must have been having too much nostalgia for that day he sent Declan up to film to notice he was actually supposed to be trying to win a game.

Close it down, folks! We have a winner for the LEAST INTELLIGENT COMMENT OF OCTOBER 2016.

The way I looked at it is that after getting crunched by OSU last year, he figured he'd "make a statement" by kicking the ass of one of their former assistants.

But it's also foolish to say that two of the best four teams can't be in the same division of a conference.

You have to an extent ignore conferences and divisions (they're arbitrary breakdowns for the sake of scheduling and travel, when you break it down to its simplest form), and simply look at who are the 4 best. It's a starting point, but I will always believe putting any sort of heavy weight on conference titles to decide playoff teams is a bit short sighted

Oh I agree...I think a top 4 team can come from same division. But don't think they'll let it happen...1 of those 2 teams will end their season on a loss before playoff selection. It still comes down to when you lose too unfortunately

True, but conference championship games really forced this issue with some teams playing that extra game against a very good opponent. If OSU/Michigan goe undefeated until that last game.
MICH wins, but loses in the championship game to a mediocre team from the west.....a bad loss. Really think that Michigan should get the nod with a loss against a not great opponent? Or should OSU get the nod as their only loss was to a great MIch team? Be pretty shitt if OSU made it only to have been beaten very recently against Michigan and not had that extra ame they had to play.

They love the exposure and $$ that game brings in, but it also kind of makes it where two teams from the same division from the same conference making it.....

I was just about to say, we all know Kelly doesn't make the best decisions in bad weather conditions.

Nah, he just reallly like that steakhouse that was giving a discount for how badly they beat Rutgers. He must not have read the fine print that it was capped at 50%

Duke hung tight and then roughed the kicker with 2 minutes left. Would have had the ball back down 3. What a dumbass play.
