The one I posted about was absurd. Cal player dropped it, and a Texas player picked it up. But the refs said because he wasn't aware that it was a fumble, that it wasn't an "immediate recovery" by the defense. So offense got the ball at the 1 yard line. Kneeled a few times, game over.
