Our Tribe hosts the White Sox for a 3 game series with all the games starting at 7:10.

Game 1 - Kluber vs. Quintana
Game 2 - Carrasco vs. TBD
Game 3 - Salazar vs. Rodon

Let's stretch out that lead!

Go Tribe.

Hopefully we get a lead early, cause at 7:30 I'll be flipping over for the High Jump finals.

Go Tribe!

Thankfully Detroit also lost last night. Good matchup tonight. Let's take care of business at home. Go Tribe!

Yes...good luck to Mr. Kynard in the High Jump. Hopefully he gets his gold tonight.

Pretty good matchup tonight. Quintana has allowed 2, 3 and 0 earned runs in his last 3 starts vs the Tribe- 2 this year and 1 last. Kluber has mixed results. 5-4 lifetime in 13 career starts vs Chicago. 3.51 ERA. In May, he went 7.2 innings of 2 run (1 earned) ball earning the win vs Quintana. He struck out 9 and walked 1.

Yep! I know a lot of hat family very well. Would be so cool for him to win Gold tonight. Lincoln Kynard is a good friend of mine (coached my sister and helped coach the guys team in HS).

I expect another sweep. Pitching sucks and bats have gone silent.

Even though he got out of the first inning without giving up a run, Kluber's getting hit hard...not a good sign.

Kluber might not have had his A+ stuff but battled for 6 innings of 1 run ball. Miller just MOWED down 6 straight in the 7th and 8th in 16 pitches.

Allen coming on for the 9th. Tribe lead 3-1.

Jose Quintana just pitched his 11th game of the season where the White Sox gave him 1 run or less of support. He was pretty solid but Kluber, Miller and Allen were better.

Realizing that pitchers like the way that catchers call a game and get into a rhythm, why doesn't the Tribe pitch hit for these two late in the game when they go to the bullpen?

Tito often does but usually in RBI situations or when they are losing. He let Perez go tonight. Maybe just hoping one of the them can find ANY type of rhythm at the plate.

Kluber has been awesome of late.

Heading to my first game in a while tomorrow. Nice when work brings me to Cleveland and the Tribe is in town!

Trade deadline deal to pick up Guyer was underrated by most/all of us. In short, the deal allowed Tito to move JRam to third base on a permanent basis, and filled the void in the OF with a good right handed platoon player. They were able to jettison the non productive Juan Uribe, upgrading performance offensively and defensively at third base and the outfield. The deal becomes even more important with the news of Brantley's shut down for the season.

...too bad the brass couldn't get Lucroy to come here....this team might have really taken off.

Sure was, and it has been of late...love Miller pitching a couple of innings with Allen closing it out. If Carrasco and Bauer can get back on track, along with Salazar getting healthy, we'll be in good shape down the stretch...and yes, WAY too early to be talking about a magic number.

Guyer has been absolutely awesome for us. I love what he brings to our lineup against lefties. With the way Kluber has been pitching, he just might walk away this season with another cy young. He has just been dominate since the all star break
