I guess when I read headlines saying he was "strongly leaning" towards retiring, I figured odds were that he would. Just never seemed like the sort of dude who'd be all coy about things and drag them out unnecessarily. Dude had an amazing career.wildcats20;1803032 wrote:I thought he might stick around another year

We don't see any intent on his aggravated assault. We will wait for his next 2 aggravated assaults to suspend him for 1 game. /NBA

Apparently someone spilled a drink on him and then that person called the cops. Not defending him (he's not very likeable), but this sounds like a whole lot of nothing.

So he was booked in jail for aggravated assault, because someone spilled a drink on him? That doesn't make sense at all.Azubuike24;1803043 wrote:Apparently someone spilled a drink on him and then that person called the cops. Well, probably not. But...
Shawn F Matian, Esq. @ShawnFNBA Draymond Green:
The conduct of the Defendant (Green) was not aggressions enough for him to be held in custody or even make bail.
That wouldn't be the case if he would've actually assaulted someone. He probably said something very threatening, maybe even hinted at having a weapon. Person realizes "oh shit, this is Draymond Green and I might be able to make the news, lets call the cops."
I guess we will see.

Lol that makes zero sense. No one spills a drink on a famous person, and thinks what you just typed and calls the cops.Azubuike24;1803046 wrote:Well, probably not. But...

He's very hate able and high profile....plenty of nuts around. I could see some dumbass kinda setting him up for trouble.
And of course I could see Draymond doing more than his part also.

Nonsense. Azubuike said he probably just said something to someone, and that person is claiming draymond assaulted him so that he can be on the news!!Commander of Awesome;1803054 wrote:Evan Sernoffsky ‏@EvanSernoffsky 6m6 minutes ago Source close to the Draymond investigation says he slapped taunting fan at a nightclub in East Lansing. The nonsense part is that he wasn't held on any bail and released. That usually says there's no much, if anything, to the case. "Victim not injured." So, where is the assault? My whole point was this is a headline because it's Draymond Green...SportsAndLady;1803056 wrote:Nonsense. Or, if putting your hands on someone else is assault, then might as well book every single person in the world.

I don't even get why you're defending the spoiled/entitled brat. Slapping people, regardless of injury is not proper behavior for anyone. Doesn't matter if the person was injured. He has to be the bigger/non-idiot person.

ASSAULT - an intentional act by one person that creates an apprehension in another of an imminent harmful or offensive contact.
So, this would include a slap, kick, punch, push, trip, forearm shiver, slamming a door on someone and dozens of other things. I'm guessing we're all guilty of it at some point.
...and no, I'm not defending him. There just isn't anything here other than a bunch of people who hate this d-bag for his on-court antics wanting to create headlines.

What it is...is a really bad look, for an already unpopular player.

Geezus dude, you should just cut your losses while you are ahead. Go ahead and slap a stranger at a bar and let me know how that works out for you.Azubuike24;1803071 wrote:ASSAULT - an intentional act by one person that creates an apprehension in another of an imminent harmful or offensive contact.

hmm, doesn't say except for Draymond Green. So I guess the law applies to him as well. Not sure your point. He committed assault and was arrested for it .Azubuike24;1803071 wrote:ASSAULT - an intentional act by one person that creates an apprehension in another of an imminent harmful or offensive contact.

I guess I just don't understand what buike is actually saying. No one knows at this point what happened, so when we ASSUME he committed an assault based on, you know, him being arrested for assault, we are jumping the gun. But then buike says he just got into a verbal altercation and the guy was looking to be on the news lol isn't that ASSUMING as well?
