Bulls trade Dunleavy to Cavs. And then Calderon to the Lakers.

Have you watched the NBA at all in the last 10 years? No price can keep a player from doing what he wants to do in FA.Azubuike24;1802593 wrote:Philly might pay an RGIII/Ricky Williams price if they could get RW to stay. They are desperate for a star and Ben Simmons isn't close to that.

Obviously my post was contingent on him staying there past his FA year. They would want him to sign an extension, obviously, or they wouldn't inquire.

Yeah we figured, and we're cutting you some slack since you're a 6ers fan, but it's obv a pipe dream.Azubuike24;1802607 wrote:Obviously my post was contingent on him staying there past his FA year. They would want him to sign an extension, obviously, or they wouldn't inquire.

Well the Sixers being good has been a pipe dream for a long time. I've pretty much hated every high pick they have made in the last 7 years other than Noel...and unfortunately, that was the shittiest draft of them all.

The more I think about it, the less I worry about the Warriors. They are basically shedding any depth and chemistry to add Durant.
Thompson will likely be the biggest drop off in production and I can't see the Warriors having a starting 5 of Curry, Klay, Durant, Green, and Zaza? West is trash, Zaza is trash, Iggy is 1 year older; who's going to come off the bench for them? I think you have a potential for a 60 win season, some chemistry issues, and a failure to win a championship. Does Durant stay? If Durant doesn't win this year, I don't see him staying with the team because it would be a catastrophic failure.
Cavs in 6 to whoever they play in the Finals.

Random thought, but I could see Thompson being the odd man out. I don't know the specifics of his contract, but I wouldn't be surprised if he got somewhat fed up and bounced for a big payday to be "the man" elsewhere...like Harden.

I disagree that they will fail to put together a deep team, we thought this with Miami and they really gelled to put together a hell of a 4 year run and that was with 3 stars, not 4.sleeper;1802712 wrote:The more I think about it, the less I worry about the Warriors. Also while they will have chemistry problems early that will help them down the stretch because they will more than likely not be chasing the 73 win record again giving them more time to rest.
The thing about basketball is that one great player can open so much up offensively and really find holes in your defense to set up his teammates. Now you have arguably the 3 best offensive players in the game on the same team, it'll be a legitimate juggernaut on that side of the ball. Then in your middle quarters you can mix up the lineups and have the same guys as last year in as starters, and put Durant in with that second team which would still be able to score on anyone.
I don't think it crazy that this team could average 120 a game and simply outpace everyone

I'd bet any amount of money they won't average 120 points a game.Classyposter58;1802720 wrote:I disagree that they will fail to put together a deep team, we thought this with Miami and they really gelled to put together a hell of a 4 year run and that was with 3 stars, not 4.

Also, I'm taking the Heat over this team. I don't think the 4 core can work.

Also why would anyone leave? Just think if all 4 average 20 a game that's 80 points a night. Realistically that core should be scoring 90-100 a game which means all the others need to do is give 20-30 and they'll just out point everyone.
They look like the closest thing we've seen in sports to the late 90s Yankees who absolutely took it to baseball. Barring injuries no other team matches up

GSW stil pretty deep. Replacing Barnes for KD, huge upgrade. Ezili and Barnes were trash in the playoffs, still have Livingston, McAdo, Speights, Rush. Plenty of depth and vets form the past 2 runs.
Also, regarding Klay Thompson, he doesn't need the ball to be effective which is what makes him so unique. I dont see him being an odd man out at all. They can be creative with minutes now with 3 legit scorers,

Rush is gone, signed with Minnesota. Hopefully, for their sake, Mac develops.
I'm not too worried about their depth though.
