From what I've read, the Warriors don't have the cap space to sign Durant to this deal. The deal is entirely contingent on shedding salary of other players(Bogut or AI). A lot of GMs aren't going to help the Warriors out in this case so maybe it doesn't happen anyway.

Hopefully the Cavs can acquire the likes of this guy to combat the Warriors move

Does cap space really matter? Will just take the luxury tax hit like the Cavs did....

Why I said 'typically'

Knew there was probably one example I wasn't thinking of.

The Andrew Bogut-Dallas deal is nearing conclusion, I'm told. @ESPNSteinLine first on them as suitor. Warriors about to get their KD space.

The Olympic team should be interesting to be around next month with Durant joining the Warriors and Barnes probably out now.

You really don't think teams will take bad players to improve their cap situation? It's happened a dozen times every single season lol no idea why you think teams won't take Ezeli, Bogut, etc. to "get back" at GS.

No shit. If I were the Thunder I'd do everything possible to land Bogut. You know that dude would have no problem beheading everyone on GSW next season.

Bogut is headed to Dallas.

Gasol to Spurs looks to be a done deal as well.

I thought he was crazy when he turned down $64M from GS earlier this year. Can't believe he got $30M more after being so inconsistent.

I get that it's a Cleveland thread but this team is beyond stacked. 4 all stars on the same team is insane

is it really an extra 30 MM? Isn't it just that the deal is 4 years rather than 3?

He was going to get $64M over 3 years

He is now getting $94M over 4 years.

So yes, an extra $30M.

Golden State looks amazing on paper but they don't have a bench or a rim protector. I would still take the Cavs in a 7 game series.

but for one more year of work...better to look at extra $ per year...so 3 MM more per year...that's what he actually gained

So he was going to quit after that third year of the 3 year contract?
