45 at half for Virginia is a lot.

Big final minute there for Virginia. Not sure what ISU fans are booing for. They're incredibly lucky that Niang didn't twice pick up his forth.

Good correction ironman, I guess my mind wasn't as good as I thought.

UVA looked really good. ISU looks like a 1 star team and a comeback will be tough but we've seen crazier stuff. But does look like a copy of the Nova game yesterday.

I was about 25 minutes behind live TV and stupidly scrolled down through here and saw more than I wanted but it was about 10 seconds from that moment when I read your post lol

Minus this terrible game it seems like scoring is pretty up compared to years' past. Anywhere to confirm or deny that?

There was a report from December, so only 1 month of games, that had scoring up over 5 points per team per game.

Now UVA officially cannot score and ISU drawing some touchy fouls on drives. It's at least a bit of a game now.

Niang has to keep himself on the court! He's fortunate that he hasn't been called 2-3 other times from the 4 he has.

Tobey the difference in this game

They called it on the wrist/arm? He made zero contact there....thought he was called on the initial contact on the drive.

This Wisconsin team has the feel of Butler in 2011. Both schools reached the national final the year before, falling just short of winning it all in the final seconds against Duke, and then lost their star player to the NBA. That the two teams play similar styles just adds to the feeling. Wisconsin may not make a return trip to play on Monday night, but Greg Gard has this team playing as well as it has since that run a season ago.

Iowa State's press is about as effective as I would expect an Iowa State press to be.
