Just returned from grocery shopping at Walmart. Pretty rough crowd and busy. In the checkout line in front of us was a man around 40 years old with a toddler and a cart full of groceries. The cashier totaled everything up to $202 and change. He shows her his assistance card, swipes it and leaves....but not before he pulls out his IPhone 6. As we leave to unpack groceries to our 9 year old Mazda X7 we see the same man unloading his into an Infinity sports car with 30 day tags. Not sure of the make but it was a newer model and IMO the nicest car in the entire packed lot.

Maybe he just inherited a lot of money...

THere's no welfare fraud. Don't question how some people spend their money.

This. Love when people load $200 full of high end steaks bought on assistance into a Lincoln.

Yes...cash for the EBT card. The person needed the cash for cigs, beer, weed, and some meth!

Never take life too seriously. We all die at the end.

Disability? I don't know, just playing devil's advocate here.

In any case, that would piss me off too.

I never shop there unless I need headphones or a video game. It's ridiculous how bad the customer service is in the store. If Kroger is too expensive for you then you need to reevaluate your life

The customer service at Kroger is amazing. Have you seen their lineup?

Things that make you scratch your head at our government...one of my rental properties I approved for the renter to move in with government assistance. So the day they are moving in I drive by to see that they got in fine and all and they are driving a Lincoln Navigator. Why are they on government assistance???

Because income from drug dealing is generally not reported on IRS Form 1040.

The scam is pretty easy to execute.

Girl has babies, doesn't marry, doesn't work, gets free house, free benefits to raise children.

Boy works, lives off girlfriends benefits without reporting income and buys all the wants/lifestyle because the girl has needs covered.
