I know what Obama said. He also said we could keep our plans and obamacare wasn't a tax. I am telling you right now the majority of obamacare supporters did not share the same view as you when it was passed. The narrative has conviently changed for them when the media provided them the single payer talking points. I am not even talking about the dumb people in this country. I have a lot of smart friends (some who even work on the hill), who legitimately thought Obamacare was going to solve everything.

Actually the rich will get it and then the poor here will complain that their healthcare isn't as good and will demand the rich pay their "fair share" so they can get better healthcare. Really sad. Most of my super liberal friends don't understand the kind of implications to have all of the things Bernie has to offer. Simply unrealistic to even get anywhere near the 19.6 trillion he proposed as a lot of this would cause behavioral changes in how people and companies act. You are right they are not fucked over. The wealthy have the resources and will change their economic activity accordingly. But it would appear Bernie and many other's solution is to tax the acts of accumulating wealth. We will continue to be fucked over as long as we buy into progressive taxes on common economic activity. Whether it is income or whatever the new populist plan drums up. If you people want to redistribute wealth tax accumulated wealth (net worth) and leave those that want or are close to getting there alone. I am not advocating a wealth tax. Not totally against it either if other forms of taxation were repealed.
