All very true for playing the lottery on a regular basis if you are of lower income, but the odds of a person winning a lottery over $200 million are probably the same as a person creating the wealth of of nothing like Gates, the original Walton, or Zuckerberg. Sure, buying 1 ticket increases your odds SIGNIFICANTLY from 0% to some minuscule number above 0% but over time you will come out vastly ahead by not playing.
