lol at Johnny had a good game if we pretend that he did. The big concerns on him coming out of college were decision making, passing in the pocket, arm strength, and accuracy. Last night he showed that he still has big problems with all of these. The only time that he makes plays in on broken plays. While that has the potential to make some exciting, highlight plays, it doesn't win at the pro level.Footwedge;1761532 wrote:LOL. You, Munch, and Hooley all from the same breed. Manziel threw 2 touchdown passes in the first half capping off 70 plus yard drives, except one of the touchdowns was dropped.
In the second half, the first series was stopped because Joe Thomas missed his block and Crowell was sacked for a 4 yard loss...then a false start..and after a nice scramble, all 6 refs missed a blatant helmet to helmet call on Manziel. The second series we saw Manziel throw another strike 25 yards down the field only to see Gabriel try to catch it with his knees. The following throw was good enough to pick up the first down and Barnidge thought trying to catch it with one hand was the cool thing to do.
Later in the game Gabriel ensured the hat trick by dropping his third pass of the evening. Even Cueball, a well known Johnny hater said that Manziel had really high marks through 3 quarters. With any kind of help from the receivers, Johnny would have had a 125 qb rating through 3 quarters.
But go ahead...lead the Johnny basher brigade. Better get used to it because Manziel will be the starter here for the next 10 years.
