You seem to outdo yourself each and every week. Manziel had a really good game that was ruined by Gabriel, Barnidge and Bowe. What happened in the 4th quarter was garbage time football with the Bengals blanketing receivers with 8 people, and the 3 pass rushers were steamrolling Schwartz, Mack and Bitonio.SportsAndLady;1761387 wrote:As well he should be. No it wasn't. I'm not one of these JFF "knob slobberers" like FW, but Manziel did nothing to NOT earn a start against Pittsburgh. QB is not the issue with this team , right now. JFF did enough last night for me to say "I want to see more." Give him 10 days to prep for Pittsburgh and see what happens. It's not like they're winning with McCown. Not to beat the dead horse but they need to know whether they are burning their top 3 pick on a QB or whether they have something to work with and are surrounding him with weapons.
If Pettine goes back to McCown against Pittsburgh, it's a fireable offense, imo. Not that he hasn't already earned the right to be canned but this season is lost and it's "evaluation time." Play Campbell, play Gilbert, play Manziel, etc, etc.

I thought his receivers didn't do him any favors, but his ball placement also wasn't great. I don't think last night did anything to help or hurt his case. It was pretty neutral, overall.

If we finish 3-13 and draft that high, I don't know if there is a qb in this class that you can justify drafting that high.
