Loser of BCS title game>Boise state.

Or are we talking about in terms of the rankings that the AP will release or talent?

I only wish that TCU and Boise State didn't play each other.Boise State's victory doesn't mean squat and that is a real shame.

1) Winner of NCG
2) Florida
3) Loser of NCG
4) Boise St
5) Ohio State

Though, if the loser of the NCG get blown out, then #4 and #5 both move up a spot.

Not sure why some of you have Florida automatically over the loser of the BCS title game. I could be wrong but I think if Texas wins the voters aren't going to forget that Alabama took a shit on Florida. Let's assume it is a close game. IMO...

Texas wins...
Texas
Alabama
Florida
Boise State
Ohio State

Alabama wins...
Alabama
Florida
Texas
Boise State
Ohio State

The only thing I feel confident in is that the Texas/Bama winner will be #1 and Ohio State will be #5. Ohio State will obviously jump Oregon, TCU, and Cincinnati. They obviously won't be ahead of Boise State, Florida, or the winner of the title game. I guess I could see Boise sliding up to #3 regardless of who wins the title game. MAYBE they could get to #2 if Texas kills Alabama. I think the gap voting wise between 2, 3, and 4 will be very slim.

Although Boise probably deserves to be ranked ahead of the Buckeyes in the polls due to their undefeated season and the Buckeyes' 10-2 finish, if these two were to play head-to-head right now, I think that OSU is the better team and would win.

^^I wouldn't be so quick to say that, and I'm an Ohio State student.

They have one common opponent. Ohio State has been praised for "shutting down Oregon's high-octane offense." Ohio State held Oregon to 260 offensive yards, and 179 of them rushing. Neat. Boise State held Oregon to 152 offensive yards; including a mere 31 yards rushing.

Boise State's defense looked tremendous against Texas Christian, and coupled with the better stats against Oregon, one could make an argument Boise State's defense is better than Ohio State's. Personally I thought Texas Christian's offense looked bland and somewhat uncreative, but Boise State's defensive success against Oregon was clearly better than Ohio State's.

In a defensive game, it's usually decided by turnovers. Kellen Moore didn't look like the dark horse Heisman contender he was throughout the season, but he didn't make many mistakes. He just looked too excited. My point is though he doesn't make mistakes. In his 392 pass attempts, he's thrown just three interceptions. Three. Pryor threw eleven interceptions on 295 attempts.

If I were Ohio State, I wouldn't bet the farm on beating Boise State. The Buckeye offense can be mistaken-prone, and would that be the case I think Boise State's defense would be too good for them to overcome.

I'd take Ohio State by four.

Cool..

BUT

Boise St. also gave up 34 to Fresno St., 21 to Tulsa, 35 to LA Tech, 25 to Idaho, 21 to Utah St., and 33 to Nevada.

Let's not underestimate that the Oregon game was the first for Oregon under Chip Kelly, and their offense needs rhythm. They struggled out of the gate, but got it together in Week 2 against Purdue with a 38-36 win.

Ohio State beats Boise St by double digits. OSU doesn't give up the gimmick plays on offense, nor do they give up more than 17 to Boise St. I saw TCU's defense shut down Boise St, and had it not been for the inept offense, TCU wins that game.

Wasn't that gimmick play on special teams though? OSU looked very good in the Rose Bowl but their one glaring weakness was....their special teams play.

I think OSU-Boise would be a good game.

Boise would beat OSU by 3-10 points. I though TCU was gonna demolish them. Wish they could play the winner of Texas/Bama.

If you were WAY wrong about TCU beating Boise why would you be right about Boise beating OSU?

And it is just my opinion that OSU would lose by 3-10.I wouldnt be surprised if OSU won the game, just sayin id put my money on Boise.

OSU would not have beaten Bama, Texas, or Florida. Anyone else in a BCS bowl would be beaten soundly. Sorry....

You guys who are trying to compare the OSU vs Oregon game and Boise vs Oregon game are Ratarded. If you want to do that then lets do this, Oregon beat BOTH teams that OSU lost to in the regular season, including USC by 20 something points. So I guess Oregon should have beaten OSU by like 30 then? YOU CANT COMPARE SCORES. End of story.

I think they would handle Cinn, TCU just fine. Georgia Tech and Boise would be great games. Iowa? Really? They struggled to beat them without their QB and now with a healthy Stanzi you say OSU wins by 10+. That is a homer.
