Based on a mix of how good they can be and how good they are playing...

1. Ohio State
2. Baylor
3. LSU
4. TCU
5. Michigan State
6. Alabama
7. Utah
8. Florida State
9. Texas A&M
10. Clemson

In the end, I think both Florida State and Clemson are out. Utah, it's looking more and more like the team to beat as a few of their road games (USC and Arizona) don't look as tough as they once were.

The SEC will only have 1 contender in the end, probably the Bama/LSU winner...and both the MSU/OSU winner and loser will be right there, as will the Baylor/TCU winner. I predict the following for the playoff...

1. Ohio State (13-0)
2. Baylor (12-0)
3. Utah (13-0)
4. Alabama (12-1)

I'm not sold on TCU either, but their defense is getting healthier...and Boykin/Doctson/Green are by far the best offensive trio in the country. TCU also hosts Baylor.

Those 3 are not by far the best trio

It helps their stats playing in the Big 12, where it's basically standard to give up 40+ points as a Big 12 defense.

I'll take Cardale, Zeke, and Thomas over those three.

As an Ohio U grad, I think you for your support, but losing to Minnesota and getting blasted by Western Michigan really should disqualify us from being a top 10 team. Thanks again, though.

Mathematically I suppose but unlikely barring big upsets to several of those teams
