My wife had three performers on her must see list. Christmas and Birthday brought her Adele and Coldplay tickets to knock a couple off her list....

Smaller venues are much better than big stadium/arena shows, imo. I used to love going to places like the Odeon (no longer around) and the Agora. Saw Type O Negative at the Odeon and Marilyn Manson at the Agora. Ironically (mentioning both) I had to break up a potential fight between my buddy and Manson at the Type O show. I almost got into it with Manson's bodyguard.

I've gone to more concerts in the last 5 years than I ever did when I was younger. Of course, I don't pay for them. Perks of my job, free concert/sporting event tickets.

This last year I saw Bush, Theory of a Deadman (twice), Three Days Grace, Pop Evil, Eric Church with Aaron Lewis (Staind) and Big & Rich - Country Jam.

The Three Days Grace concert I got drunk, smoked dope and crowd surfed (they dropped me) from my box seats. I'm getting too old too.

Plan on going to see Garth and taking my boys to see Luke Bryan this year. I'm sure I'll probably have at least 2-3 more shows I'll go to as well.

Couldn't even get beyond selecting how many tickets to look for for Garth. Oh well, if stubhub isn't too expensive I'll buy. Looks somewhat reasonable for other cities.

Only thing I can find is behind the stage. And absolutely no thanks on that.

Yeah, it looks like they went downhill fast. I ended up with 2 on the side in the 300s but row G so shouldn't be too bad, and then 2 in section 215 row H. That's behind the stage but looking at the stage setup it's an open layout so shouldn't be too bad. I have some friends that wanted to go as well which is why I got 2 sets but I'm not sure which seats I'll take. Will probably let my girlfriend decide, haha.

Finally was able to get some in 321. Went through the whole process and then "unable to reach server" prevented me from buying. For the entire 10 minutes they were in my cart. Now every date is sold out.

I'll be seeing Phantom for the fourth time. Looking forward to it.

That's fine at a play, musical, etc. But part of the fun at a concert is getting into the music, whether it's standing up, dancing. etc.

Actually, behind the stage is fine. It's a circular and open set. He spends just as much time towards the back of the stage as he does towards the front.

Also, if anyone wants to chance it, wait until the day of the show. You will find plenty on Craigslist for face value and even cheaper.

What's the deal with secondhand tickets for Garth? I read that you have to use the credit card used for purchasing to enter? And that secondhand tickets are basically not an option(even though they are everywhere).

I believe the entry level and floor seats are credit card entry, non-transferable tickets. They basically do it so brokers won't buy up a bunch of seats then jack up the prices and resale them. I know the 300's you can print your ticket, so those will be the ones available.
