The wife and I when to the Hillsong Concert on Saturday in Canton. Years ago we when to the Hillsong Church in Australia for church service. My wife though it would be a nice trip down memory lane.

I like music, enjoy the event and like the entertainment ….. but I told the wife no more concerts for me… I should have learned my lesson from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Concert a few yeas ago..

At the Hillsong Concert we sat about 15 -16 rows back … big mistake.
The sound vibrations dislodge my spine from the back of my neck.
The sound percussion was so intense that I’m almost sure the membrane between my skull and brain is ruptured.
The intensity of the light was blinding and who the hell thinks that massive strobe lighting is enjoyable to anyone. Is the goal to create massive crowd retina disorder and convulsions?
I ask my wife why go to a concert where you can’t hear the performers singing because everyone around you is singing?
We bought ticket that I thought include a comfortable seat, from the first drum beat to the last everyone was standing, within 5 minute Belly35 sat down praying that this would end soon because of technical difficulties ( act of God).

No more concerts for this old guy…. My body been beaten by life and hard work, I don’t need it to be sound microwave, light induced coma.

I like outdoor festivals better for this reason. Things like the Alive down at Atwood Lake State Park every summer. You can sit back as far as you want and actually enjoy it.

...last concert I saw was in Ytown to see James Taylor & it was pretty good. We sat up in a loge with about 4 other couples and had plenty of free eats & drinks for the evening & you don't have to fight to get to a bathroom.

Saw Slash over the weekend at the Rocksino. Loved the show but hated the venue. As my brother said, feels like we were in a big conference room. It was very sterile feeling. Lot's of smaller acts are playing there now though so I had best get used to it I guess.

Funny, you attend some worship Jesus propaganda concert and shortly after it started you were praying to his supposed dad for it to end.

I love concerts and really hope I never get old and crotchety so I can continue to go. My friends, fam and I go to Rock on the Range every year, and we've started going to Louder than Life in Louisville as well. That is this weekend. I'm hoping the weather doesn't suck.

I saw Tremonti and Trivium at the Agora Saturday, and I loved it. The venue/sound was great. It's hard to find people to go see the bands I like up here in NE Ohio, or I'd go to smaller shows more often.

Alabama Shakes were great tonight. Brittney Howard voice is just on another level. The rain couldn't even put a damper on the energy.

Now only two weeks and I get to see Paul McCartney again.

BTW your crazy for passing on ACL tickets. Foo Fighters Florence and the Machine, Alabama Shakes Tame Impala The Decemberists Sturgill Simpson Run The Jewels Royal Blood Brandon Flowers and Nate Ruess solo sets is just a stacked top to bottom lineup.

Went to Garth Sunday night. It was amazing. Dude is an entertainer. I highly recommend. Ticketmaster was a complete cluster the minute tix went on sale so good luck. Took me at least 45 minutes and only got the 2nd show out of 4 offered. If you can't get tix right away open more Windows and check for more dates added.
