Jff did a good job managing the game today. It is probably the way he will have to win at this level.

The "drunk" as you call him managed the game a lot better than Peyton Manning did, Steve Young did, Terry Bradshaw did, Troy Aikman did in their third professional start.

I'm happy he played well, and we won. I'm not quite ready to induct him at Canton.

I'm as happy as anyone about today's win (because I'm a true Browns fan), but LOL at taking ONE game and saying "ha ha told ya so" about JFF.

I hope the guy becomes an absolute stud. But nothing in today's game made me 100% confident in his ability to be the franchises QB. He obviously made a few nice deep throws, but you suck at life if you take a few deep balls against the Tennessee Titans and try and make it seem like you were right all along about him.

I think the Browns should move forward with JFF as the stater. What JFF did today is essentially what McCown has to do all year if the Browns want to win (manage games). Might as well give JFF the experience. He isn't going to develop holding a clipboard for another year. Gotta let him feel out the game. He improved from last week to this week. Let's be real here, this is essentially his rookie season. I think anyone (i.e. FW) using this game as a "i told you so" moment is an idiot, but I also think people who wrote him off after last season were also idiots. He played 6 quarters of football. Can't we just wait and see if he has any development after 16 NFL starts? The kid is only 22 years old and just now making football a primary focus of his life. If we can give Weeden 2 seasons under center, we surely can give JFF some time.

JFF, def didn't light up the scoreboard today, but what I liked about him is he showed some maturity. Didn't try to force any bad throws especially on third down (already an improvement form last week), and he didn't resort to going to immediate JFF mode. He tried to stay in the pocket as long as possible and looked down field. He only went into JFF mode when it was necessary, and it turned into the final TD for the Browns. That is the QB the Browns envisioned JFF to be. Just need it to happen on a much larger scale, and I am hoping he continues to develop. It also doesn't help when 3 of his WRs are under 6 feet tall.

The defense played great btw. They pressured Mariotta all game. Armonty played out of his mind. Titans never should have scored 2 TDs. They were bailed out twice.

Hopefully the Browns can keep it going next week at home against the Raiders.

Huh? I'm a Browns fan. I want him to do well. I happened to be on here earlier when he threw a deep ball into double coverage and the receiver was never open. I made a comment about it and went back to the game.

Also, JFF needs to improve on protecting the ball. It's almost an automatic fumble when he gets hit.

The Jets and Titans are pedestrian teams and have rolled up a combined 320 yards on 66 carries (4.8 yards a carry).

Keep that up over the course of the season and they will be near dead last in the league again and won't win many football games.

Thank God for Johnny playing well right now, because Gilbert was inactive, Shelton is invisible, and Cam doesn't even play. Our 2nd round pick this year Nate Orchard is suffering from back problems and an inability to get on the field at the ripe age of 22, which should portend to a long and prosperous NFL career for sure.

No team is getting less in the NFL from such a bounty of high picks than the Browns.

I'm rooting for him but he's still not an NFL QB in my opinion. I hope he proves me wrong.

This game played out exactly as I expected. We made Mariota's life a lot harder than last week and it led to a bunch of turnovers and on offense with a week of first team reps and game-planning we made it as easy for Johnny as possible. Like others said on here, it's the Titans. Losing to them would have said a lot more about our team than beating them.

On the the next one, Go Browns!

I liked what I saw from Johnny. He keeps getting better. I truly believe he should be the starter next year especially with his confidence up. He's the type of guy that thrives on that. At this point we need to roll with him and see how he can progress through out the season. The next 3 are very winnable games.

I'm good with moving forward with JFF at QB, but I fear that Footwedge is right in that the Browns will give the job back to McCown once he's cleared to play. Unless you've been asleep, the Browns plan to run the football....and if you see a Browns QB throwing 28 times a game, it's going to be a loss. You have a WR corp that are like clearance items from the dollar store, Travis Benjamin excluded,.... but you can bet after this week, he'll get a lot more attention.

Playing a 36 year old journeyman buys this team absolutely nothing for the future. That it is even a consideration to go back to him when you have a 2nd year 1st round QB that has played little so far shows how backwards the organization is.

Every other team throws their young QB's out there and let's them work through it and they either sink or swim.

The Browns are delusional if they think at some point they aren't going to have to go through growing pains with Johnny to find out what he has. No amount of sitting on the bench learning is going to change that.

Put him out there, let him play the season, and that way we know definitively next April if we are shopping for a QB or not.

The worst possible scenario (and one the Browns like to do usually) is wait until there are 2 or 3 games left in the year that are meaningless and wait until then. That way we can debate about whether we have a QB or not because we don't have enough to go on.
