We've been saying for years we need new members but it's never going to happen. The "new" members are just older ones who quit or were banned. Everyone here is from JJHuddle and are just getting older and lack the time or desire to come here.
It's too bad we don't have some type of leadership or moderation instead of having the same idiots creating Cleveland State threads or whining to themselves on their own personal Browns thread.
I fully expect to log on one day and find the site to be shut down because Justin just said fuck it. In that case, I hope everyone goes and finds themselves.
In fairness, I've been extra lax on doing anything in recent times due to the impending (ish, maybe) changeover. But if it doesn't happen soon, I can see me just dumping Tiernan in the basement for until that moment comes and then just let whoever gets the place decide what to do with him. It's football season, which means his "trying to hard and failing" and "whatever the topic, I have to make things about me and my 'wealth' and 'wit'" deals is just getting more obnoxious. Iggy, on the other hand, is pure comedic gold. Even though it's 99.99% obvious that his persona is an act, just the thought of a person being such a miserable over-the-top bitch about everything all the time cracks me up consistently. It doesn't matter what the topic, but he'll be whining about it and acting like whatever just happened is a personal insult to his non-existent dignity. That shit is great! Of course, now I'm thinking I should do more to fuck with him, if for no other reason than to inspire one of his "Oh shame on you!" rants that read like they were written by someone's half-senile great-grandmother.

My memory is a bit shaky on things, but I don't recall that being a real concern. I don't think Justin was overly keen on the idea of having the site vote on him when it was just a few vocal people calling for his head, but when a couple people who don't usually get into the drama stuff started complaining, it was decided that something should happen. I do recall alt accounts voting was a concern, so I think there was a decision made to not count votes by known alts and to watch out for votes coming from accounts we weren't familiar with (whether they be new names or old ones with zero or very few posts) in an attempt to try making things as legit as possible. I also can't remember if it was all mods or just me and/or some others, but I at least know I abstained from voting with the goal of making it a pure user vote so there wouldn't be any "We would have voted him out, but the mods backed him 10-0 and he won by 2!" complaints.
All in all, it might not have been a perfect system, but at least it had more transparency than your typical judicial dealings with politicians, pro sports leagues, etc.
