Pure Cardio, status quo after two weeks off, skipping all of level 2, half of suicide drills (last one) and pushup jacks.

3 more days of my first round of Insanity left. Pretty excited that I've made it through so far, and continue to improve everyday. Also on a side note I just received Insanity: The Asylum and will be doing that after I finish up Insanity. Plus I got a week supply of Shakeology today that I will be trying. Hopefully its as good as advertised.

Keeping on going at ump, improvement is what its all about.

Not looking forward to Yoga tonight. I am considering giving it up for something else. Any ideas for workout for between the strength days?

I do a 25 minute Gaiam yoga routine followed by Insanity Recovery. Before Insanity, I did the Gaiam followed by Xstretch (skipping the yoga warmup).

Which yoga? Yoga X or FOY?

Yoga X. I am doing round 2 of P90x due to lack of having insanity and lack of lazyness to put together crossfit routines I can do in my low ceiling basement.

Do you own FOY? If you're sticking with P90X, it's only a 40 minute high paced yoga workout. I often found myself yawning when doing Yoga X.

Once it gets warmer/dryer I'll be doing power cleans in my back yard on the grass (have Olympic bumper plates).

Where do I get this FOY yoga routine? Is it already on a bonus disc or something, or do I need to download it.

It's Tony Horton's "Fountain of Youth" yoga. You can get it on the Beachbody website. It's only like $19.95?

Best exercise for football, IMO. Part of the reason I was drawn to Crossfit is that it gets me back to my "roots' which are football training type lifts. Love it!

I usually end up doing squat cleans as the weight gets heavier. I'm in the process of finding a cheap tractor tire to use outside over the summer too.

We were driving around a few weeks ago shopping for a 2011 Camaro and we were driving down this back, secluded road. There were TWO perfect flippin' tires that had been laying by the road for awhile. I was tempted to snag one but didn't have room in the Jeep.

I do short, intense intervals that last 15-20 minutes. I'll do a set of power cleans followed immediately by jump rope, speed jumping jacks or burpees (30 secs to a minute). This is one set. I set an egg timer to see how many circuits I can complete in 15-20 minutes.

This blows you up and I'm burning more calories, after completing a 15 minute ab workout, with this in 25-30 minutes than I was in a 50+ minute P90X workout. I do the same with squats & deadlits.

My problem is I live in a big city and I don't have a car so even when I do find one i have to figure out how to transport it.

Good idea, so should I insert this for Kenpo/yoga or a strength workout?

Besides returning to my "roots' I've taken a "less is more" approach to training. Mixing something like this in, in addition to P90X workouts would be rough. Might sub it for legs & back?

Well today was my last day of my first round of Insanity. First off, I just want to say thanks to you guys on here because after reading much of this thread it basically encouraged me to go give it a try. Secondly, I am proud of myself for sticking with it through out the two months and not quitting. Im not one to normally quit on something but there was definitely times when I debated stopping. Finally, this has changed me physically but it has also changed me mentally and my lifestyle is now changed. I watch what I eat, I feel better, and most of all this has led me to want more out of myself. I ordered Asylum and will be starting that sometime next week, and once I complete that I will go back to Insanity and do a hybrid with P90X.

Once again thanks to all of you guys on here espicially BR for helping me out with a lot of things and good luck to everyone else. I'm gonna post some before and after pics, not to brag or anything like that but to show that these types of programs do work.
